Not the most attractive or popular species of the bird world - a rook.However i'm pushing myself to take shots of subjects I wouldn't normally consider recently and I like how this one turned out. Exposure was tricky with this - bright light, dark subject but it held.
Despite what it looks like - there is still detail in the birds shadon across is body! It just looks really dark on screen lol.

Did you use the Sigma 50-500 here?

no - I don't have a 50-500. I used a Nikon 200-400 f4 vr. The only sigma lenses I shoot with now are the 120-300 f2.8 (cos its sharp as hell) and the 10-20mm (cos nikon don't make an equivilent!) lol
