great photo, all i can say.
Although, honestly i think it would look even better without that white border, but that's your choice.

no - I don't have a 50-500. I used a Nikon 200-400 f4 vr. The only sigma lenses I shoot with now are the 120-300 f2.8 (cos its sharp as hell) and the 10-20mm (cos nikon don't make an equivilent!) lol

A very misunderstood bird... but this is a great shot of a challenging subject. Nice one!

Lol awesome shot. Reminds me of my science teacher, kind of. Though my science teacher's..nice and funny but kind of strict. He scares me.
But this Rook makes me smile xD

great shot - he looks like a crotchety old man. i love the detail you got on the beak and feet. and his shadow completes the photo nicely.

Can you not lift the shadows then? I can see a little detail.
Anyway I love the shot and I am pretty fond of the crow family - they are really clever and great characters.

yeah I could lift shadows but then it would look flat and artificial lol. I did try a bit but didn't really look too hot.

Cool shot!
Whatever else one might say about crows and ravens one must also admit that they are smart and do not want for personality.
