FINALLY managed to get some shots of a pied wagtail after laying in 4" of snow and ice waiting for it to get closer. These things will usually come and investigate, tease you and just as you get them in focus, bugger off again at mach 1.Anyway I got some good sharp shots altough nothing really interesting about the, apart from the frozen lake (Yes thats a frozen lake its standing on - not snow!)

there are a few burned areas but as the image is predominantly white its not a problem. Somtimes highlight clipping is acceptable. Its pretty minor as well on a calibrated screen

yeah I don't usually centre subjects but I did this one intentionally. Somthing about it looking away from the mound of snow gave it a bit of impact but apart from that its just a run of the mill encyclopedia shot really.
