My first post in more than a year
But seriously, Every new generation of Pokemon, people just HAVE to complain about it, & I see no need for it. Every gen has their good points & flaws, yet everyone acts as if 1st gen was perfect, then hates on the newer ones just because they're not from 1st gen.
If they are even remotely detailed: "Oh, they look like Digimon!!! That makes them automatically suck!!!"
-Is there even a definition of what a pokemon/digimon is supposed to look like? Unless there actually is, there is nothing to complain about.
If they are simple: "Oh, they're sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo uncreative."
-STOP BITCHING!!! 1st gen had TONS of simple pokemon, yet no one ever whines about them.

I was a part of both at one point.
Pokemon nerds are a bit obsessed and sort of bitchy but usuuually they get over it or leave the fanbase.

What annoys me the most is that people act like what the pokemon look like is the ONLY aspect that matters in the games.

I didn't really like most at first but now I love'em! and I honestly think this gen is much
better than the 4th gen. 3rd was my favourite, wasn't that the start of the fanraging about
bad designs? or did it start in the 2nd gen?
Also I remember submitting a sketch of the Yorkshire terrier pokemon [Haderia] and someone
commented [something like] "It just looks like a normal dog, not original at all" yea well voltorb
looks like a goddamn pokeball, dugtrio is just 3 lumps sticking out of the ground. :I
I find some of the newer designs to be a lot more creative than the more simple designs of gen 1.

Yet I haven't seen anyone say that rattata just looks like a normal rat, or that ekans just looks like a normal snake. I've noticed that a lot of 1st gen is just balls with limbs(Oddish, Jigglypuff, etc.). I would say that almost all of 5th gen designs are more creative than the originals.

Pretty much to be honest.I like all the new pokemons and I think some of them look better than some of the old ones but I do like the old ones too.

XD Yeah, I try not to complain. i just sit back and muse about the old days when there aws only 150 pokemon. I don't really get into the newer ones, cause I don't wanna be like those picky fans who have to complain about all the changes that were made. (Admitedly, it saddens me to see my old favorite pokemon Ash/Satoshi owned be replaced by new ones. Hence my avoiding the newer generatiosn.)
