Description Despite Pokemon being fictional pockets of data I can't help but get attached to the Pokemon I train with throughout my journeys. I even keep some of them despite finding stronger Pokemon of the same type.

For example, in the beginning of Emerald I found a Plusle. Since I couldn't find any other electric Pokemon I decided to keep him despite finding him a generic Pikachu rip-off (this was in my semi-Genwunner stage). But the little guy SAVED my ass so many times during a gym battle that I grew attached to him and became proud of him.

The same can be said for my Bellsprout (now a Weepinbell) in Soulsilver. I bonded with these Pokemon which made the adventure even better then it already was.

I'm too attached to my team on Diamond, even the ones I mainly use for Contests, all of them having nicknames. My Flareon Eugene is a prolific participant in Contests. My main Espeon, even though she has a type disadvantage, is pretty strong against Ghost types. Even my Glaceon I am attached to and he has fathered many Eevees, which includes the Flareon I mentioned above, as well as Timothy the Eevee who knows Last Resort, but my Glaceon also fathered some daughters, as well as getting several grandkids through my female Umbreon, Selene, and Arctic, the "Eevee-who-evolved-into-a-Glaceon-at-Level-Six" as I call him.

I know how you feel. I have a dragonite named Empress that I love so much, I made a PMD version of her in explores of the sky. I've wanted to get a shiny Dratini, but I was afraid I'd forget about Empress (She kicked ass even before she evolved). I gave one of her children to my brother to train.

I get attached to characters in games a lot, not just pokemon, but I don't like treating characters in my games like data but I prefer treating them like I would (or like my character would) in a given circum stance rather than no thinking at all. Maybe cause I have aspergers *shrugs*

I get so attached to my Pokemon. I keep attempting Nuzlockes, dropping it for a long time, then playing with Pokemonamie... ^_^"
Legitimate tears were shed for my Nuzlocked Bellsprout in HeartGold...

I hate Nuzlocke too. I think it's cruel. I wouldn't trade Carabosse, my Florges, for anything, not even an Arceus. She was not even the first Flabebe I saw. And I managed to take down Korrina's entire team with only her. She's fainted a few times, but that's okay. I love the rest of my Pokemon Y team too.

My Chandelure in Black 2 is special too. He saved my Pokemon team from total defeat during the rematch against Iris and her brutal Haxorus. Even after 20 turns, he managed to get the job done with his Flame Body ability.

My Beartic in Black always proved to be reliable too. She reached level 100, and I've bred her, and her children and grandchildren.

Even Pokemon I don't use in my party can be helpful. My Roselia in Sapphire was a prolific breeder - he fathered quite a few Pokemon. I later transferred him to Pearl where I evolved him into a Roserade.

I absolutely agree. And thanks to Pokemon X and Y, I can bond with my Pokemon even more.

I've had my 6 year old Garchomp with me ever since I first got Pokemon Diamond and can't wait to transfer her to Y Version. She saved my rear plenty of times in the past. Now she has a mate and a son (the whole family's on level 100)...but it's gonna be sad that my Garchomp's mate won't be making it to Y Version as it turns out he was created by a cheat code when I got him from a trade.

:Β Strong PokΓ©mon. Weak PokΓ©mon. That is only the selfish perception of people. Truly skilled Trainers should try to win with the PokΓ©mon they love best-Karen of the Johto Elite Four.

And the Amie thing in X and Y doesn't make it much easier, either.

Actually, it makes Nuzlocking easier because of the advantages in battle. But at the same time it makes it more painful to lose them.
