Seriously...why should Hau have to act as snarky as Blue? Why does Tierno have to act like Silver? Why should Barry or Bianca act like jerks? If every rival in every Pokemon game acted just like Blue or Silver, then it would quickly get boring. Each rival has his or her own personality. Tierno loves to dance-he doesn't need call you a "loser" like Blue would of. Hau is pretty cheerful and laid back-it would ruin his character if he was an ass-hole like Silver was. Hugh was on a mission to find his sister's stolen purrloin..Bianca was a ditz who was trying to become stronger....every rival has different personalities. Not every rival needs to act like jerks towards you.

I made this stamp because I got sick of people saying that every single rival of every Pokemon game should be like Blue or Silver. I may be an old-schooler, but even I get sick and tired of nostalgia-blinded people bashing good rivals like Hau, Calem, Dawn,May, Cheren,etc. Just because a rival has a pokemon weaker than yours doesn't make them bad or lame rivals. The same goes for rivals who are not jerks or smart asses towards you. Learn to appreciate Tierno's cool dance moves. Learn to appreciate Hau's laid-back personality..learn to appreciate Bianca's quest to become stronger. I found Blue to be annoying-he always went out of his way to make you WANT to avoid being seen with him. Blue was just some one-dimensional character that had no character development(unlike Koga, Prof. Oak and Misty,who all had personalities). Silver was somewhat better, and I understood his bitterness and actaully felt sorry for him.
