not a request (but i'm working on it...) anyways, just a pic i did a while ago. once again it looks weird cuz the stupid digital camera ruined it. some how it turned some of my shading into lighting (hows that even possible?) so i had to edited the hell out of it with photoshop....life suck, and i'm too young to get a job so i can't buy a new scanner *cries*oh and the word in blood is not bebnilB, it's Blinded written backwards (like the mirrow writings lol)

It's likely that your shading was so solid, the light reflected off of it, causing a light effect where you had shaded. Think about how coloring a big solid block with a pencil will create a grey block that is smooth and shiny even though it's on matte paper.

The artist implied that this is a traditional art piece (drawn on paper) which they took a picture of. They said the camera turned their dark, shaded areas into light, bright areas.

I was explaining how that was possible. The light reflected off of the dark areas because they were shiny. If you put enough pencil on paper, it becomes smooth and shiny. Then, the light can reflect off of it.
There is not enough information for this to be a definite answer, but it's probably what happened.

it is awesome dude and ur mistakes actually created it. Most great works were not as the artist visualised them but it worked out better. Perfection is social brainwashing.
