This screen capture is copyright of the The Last Airbender Movie/Paramount Pictures.This was a poster I felt needed to be made, because while many Avatar fans loved the movie (myself included), many Avatar fans think that it wasn't "great" but "ok"; with many thing missing.
Then you have Avatar fans (not Avatar fans in my book) who bash the movie and bash M. Night like if he was a War Criminal; like the moronic-43rd-President (Bush).
Note: I said people who BASH the movie and BASH M. Night; and as we know, not everyone who didn't like the movie is a basher, so stop being such complainers when this isn't necessarily aimed at you.
NOT LIKING A MOVIE ISN'T THE SAME AS BASHING A MOVIE!!!!
Immature-Bashers are not true fans in my book because if they were, they'd be at lease happy that someone thought the show was great enough to be a live action movie; I mean how many other cartoons have ever gone through that; not even Avatar's rival; Naruto got a movie of his own.
And M. Night did what any fan would do, show his love for Avatar by making a movie; so I don't see immature-bashers as true Avatar fans; Avatar fans who bash others for showing their love towards Avatar; kind of hypocritical.
It's like;
"You think bashing The Last Airbender makes you a true Avatar fan? It makes you look like moron, but not make you a true Avatar fan. Is that what you think an Avatar fans does; bash another Avatar fans for trying their best to make a live-action-movie and act like all their work was for nothing?"
Just like friends don't hurt friends, fans don't go out of their way to bash the fan art (including films) of other fans.

Though I do agree with you people should not go and bash other peoples DA box or art because they liked the movie... Saying that someone who bashes the movie is not a true fan is just as arrogant.
The movie was awful. Yes, I think M night did a horrible job. The characters were stale and flat. The story line was choppy and WAYYYYY too rushed. Pretty much everything I enjoyed about the series was sucked out and all that remained was the shell thrown together with some pretty graphics...
There are true fans on each side of the fence my friend, and if you think other wise you are sadly mistaken.

Well many fans can see that the movie was truly great and while rushed, M. Night did an amazing job with what he could have put into it.
When you draw out the people who don't like it; there's two types of people; those who don't like the movie and move on (not mentioned in this poster) and the people who don't like it and bash the movie to a point of immaturity (greatly mentioned in this poster).

I don't make Demotivational Posters; I didn't post this comment for hate mail, I posted it for support. People don't have a right to bash others opinions, and that's what a lot of movie haters do.

I agree with everything you said in your deviation and in the describtion too. Well I sort of always imagine those bashing the movie as some 8 years old troll, and than actually it makes me laugh whenever I read a comment from them cuz it's just so pointless what they write

I sort of found the movie a little bit pointless and extremely inaccurate. And personally i didn't like it and a lot of my friends didn't either. HOWEVER, with the budget they had and given the director's situation (fitting tonnes of episodes into two hours), it did turn out pretty well.
I still think they could have gone to the effort of putting some other key characters in though, like Suki and Jet.
(Yes i have bashed both the movie and the director before, but back when i first saw the movie and i was really angry at how they ruined a lot of the characters' personalities and left out a lot of things)

Ok, well I found of lot of it accurate, like the Blue Spirit, the Water Tribe battle, exc; same basics as the story.
As for characters, I think Aang and Katara fit. While Sokka is not so fun in Book 1: Water; I felt movie Sokka was "too grown up". Zuko and Iroh fit; Zhao wasn't tough enough like he was in the series, but more of a teasing guy.
So I'll go with Sokka and Zhao were off a bit, but good enough to pass. Now if Sokka doesn't loosen up and joke around in The Last Airbender 2 then that will be really inaccurate from the cartoon.

i'll have to agree with you on Zhao and Sokka, but as for Iroh, he's so cheerful and funny in the series. I feel he lacked that wise funny man personality in the movie.
I loved the blue spirit and the Water Tribe Battle. However, i think they could have been more creative when it came to Aang's assult on the fire nation while in the avatar state.

I think to cram that much show and information into a 2 hour movie is very difficult and M did an AMAZING job at makeing it true to the series. How many episodes were in the first "book"? 6 discs with 5-6 episodes on each. You do the math. I completely agree with you 100%.

I remember getting the disc as they came out, so I have 5 disc with 4 episodes each; then it's 4 disc with 5 episodes each, and finally 4 disc with 5 episodes each (except the 4th one with a 6th episode).

I'm a Last Air Bender Fan at the core of my heart. But I did not like the movie one bit because it lacked. Which was a huge disappointment because I love M. Night's movies. They make you think and see things in a different way. The movie would have been soooo awesome had he been given the time to really edit it right, and a better budget.
what I liked about the movie though was the scenery shots and costumes.
and the Prince Zuko and Iroh were played pretty well with the lines they were given.
everything else was meh!

This isn't about rights of opinions, it's about showing respect those others art and others pictures.
It's like how would you feel if you posted a poster about your religion and many said it sucked.
People have rights as long as they don't interfere with others rights, and bashing someone's picture is like saying they're automatically wrong for having an opinion.
Point is, I have a right to post my opinion, so others should respect that, by ether agreeing with me, or posting their bashing comments where I won't see it.

I Love Avatar The Last Air Bender series, but I hated the movie. I think that that is partly myfault too; I was defending the movie before it came out. Up until I watched it for myself. I put my hopes waaaaaay too high for that movie. To sum up all my diappointment in three words: It Was Rushed.
I didn't hate all the changes, I think some of them are clever and they gave a good twist to the fandom. It just changed the characters too much and rushed their storys so you really didn't care what happened to them. I'm not trying to change your opinion, just stating mine.
There are a lot of people who feel the same way and some do communicate their opinions in a rather harsh way.
But I don't think it makes them less of a "true fan" than the ones who loves the movie.
People are different and express their feelings differently.
They care for the fandom just as much as you and I.

That doesn't make the haters wrong. It makes them opinionated about what they saw. Which was the movie they let out in theaters, not the one it could have been.
Once the extended cut comes out (if it comes out) we all can judge that one to see if its better or worse.
Until then, in my opinion, the haters, for the most part, are still correct.

You didn't bash it, you just said you didn't like it.
This is meant to be aimed at the people who trash talk about it and even trash talk about M. Night. There's a different between the people who simply don't liking the movie, and the people who bash and attack other users.
