Thanks! Yeah, this picture isn't really a good representation of them, plus they're a little more green than they should be.

Wow you got a lot of great stuff here! I work with clay as well it's just none of the stores sell the kind I like! Most of my work is...well animals and I've been trying to work with people....but this is just great! I'm loving this!

well I really like to use fimo, but none of the stores seem to carry it any more. It really sucks too because I find it to work for me really well when making figure renders. Now I use sculpy which is what I use mainly for the animal figurines I make.

Yes you do. But who else do you hink you might make? Another Final Fantasy guy? (would love to see a squall made)

Whitness In reply to The-NecroNeko [2004-01-13 20:11:45 +0000 UTC]

I'm not sure. Squall would be really fun. I was also thinking someone from Chronocross or Soul Calibur 2.

OOO YES! You have to do it now. I DEMAND it!! Who would you do from Soul Calibur? And if you do one from Chrno Cross it would have to be one of the chicks because they all looked so damn COOL! Like miki or something.

Haha, I'm not sure. All of them look really neat. There are so many neat characters from Chronocross. I have the strategy guide with a lot of good pictures.. I'll have to think about it

This is absolutely amazing...there is just SO much detail in this piece! This looks just like Cloud...great work! ^_^

Just a little question...where do you go to get some polymer clay? I would love to work with it...I just stuck with sculpey at the moment (of which you can view in my gallery, actually).

Just once more, this peice is amazing. You don't mind if I it do you?

You're absolutely right about the clays. Thanks for answering and thanks for leading people to my gallery! I'm off to do another post.

I noticed you had made this a favorite too and came to look at comments. By the way, Sculpey II and III is a polymer clay. Along with Premo(which is also by Sculpey), Fimo, and Polyclay by Kato. And I seem to have led 3 people to Whitney this week(unless it's just coincidence). Quite interesting...

*nods* This piece is just too amazing not to !

o_O Sculpey is that? But...the clay in the picture appears to be quite different than the clay that I am used to seeing...it looks kinda rubbery or something...Just another question, (sorry about all that), how do you make the positionable action figures?

I was browsing your gallery, saw this, and just had to visit...sorry?

Whitness In reply to AllyRene [2004-01-19 08:09:17 +0000 UTC]

Sorry, I totally overlooked your question about positionable figures. Here's your late answer... I use one of two methods and both of them are used in Cloud here: 1) toothpicks. Pretty basic, i just put a hole on one piece and a toothpick in the other. Cloud's head has a toothpick running down the middle into his neck. I'm lucky he has a turtleneck because it hides the seam. 2) Wire and elastic. This is a little more complicated. Embedded in each of Cloud's arms there's a little wire loop. His torso has a hole running from shoulder to shoulder. After he was baked I strung elastic through the loops and through his torso and tied it off. It's hard with small figures because there's no good place for the knot and extra elastic, but i'm working on some ways to get around that.

Very nice. Only one thing. His nose makes him look kind of like Gelfling or whatever from Dark Crystal. Amazing looking though. If only the action figures they released looked as good.
