Your WoW sculptures look even better than the real detailed action figures! Beautiful detailing on all of them.

Wow, thanks! That's a huge compliment! I almost bought one of those the other day at Toys R Us. (I never grew up)

They are actually pretty nice, but this looks so much better! I actually thought it was a Custom at first.

This is pure win and awesome.

Tell me,
Do you know where the fur on their hind legs start? As whenever I see their legs, they're either:
1. Covered in armor
2. Colored in flats with no hint as to the transition.

Whitness In reply to stockplz [2009-03-02 15:24:46 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! I'm unsure about the fur. I figured it was something like a clydesdale horse.

That's a very awesome sculpture
Rather detailed
How did you make it?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Whitness In reply to InColdBloodXx [2007-12-30 04:11:18 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! Polymer clay around a wire and foil armature painted with acrylic paints and pastels.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

InColdBloodXx In reply to Whitness [2007-12-30 04:15:04 +0000 UTC]

That sounds hard
x.x
You should look into getting a job making action figures (if you haven't already).

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Whitness In reply to InColdBloodXx [2007-12-30 04:16:52 +0000 UTC]

I would, but I'm a few years shy of being a dentist so I'll stick with that . My kids are going to have all kinds of homemade action figures though!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

InColdBloodXx In reply to Whitness [2007-12-30 04:33:27 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I'm scared of dentists x.x
Last time I went, I got a syringe jabbed into my gums
But, I know dentists get good money, so that's great
I bet your kids will be happy about that
I know I would be xD

ShoTro [2007-12-30 04:06:06 +0000 UTC]

Wow, what do you use to sculpt these? It looks great!

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

Whitness In reply to ShoTro [2007-12-30 04:12:47 +0000 UTC]

Several kinds of polymer clays. Fimo for the face/hands/tail and sculpey/premo for the rest. There's a wire and aluminum foil armature underneath with some toothpics added in for support. Super glue, acrylic paints, pastels, blood...
