Before there was Chobits there was Saber Marionette J (the whole man falling in love with a female robot with a "soul") Only SMJ has more of a Tenchi style in that he's living with three androids (Lime, Cherry, and Bloodberry). The story is more sci-fi than Chobits. Lime is Otaru's main love interest of the three girls and she is teh CUTEST!! She's very childlike, as Chi is, only more hyper-active childlike: "Otaru!! look at this pretty pot!! *valuable ancient artifact* *CRASH* oops."
If you happen to come across I recommend the manga over the anime. They re-arranged the story in the anime and it STINKS.
