Wow, I especially enjoy the colours again - the deep warm colours, really gives that tropic atmosphere with all the heavy, humid air... :3

Weeee!! Critters, carved stonework, dense jungle, the pirate skulls on spears as a grim warning to the likes of us... This is turning into one grand adventure! Oh goody! The map has 2 sides and it looks like the side I can see says there will be tunnels!

Wow, the textures are good; the cloths, the stones, the map, the leaf. All of them are getting more realistic.
You are trying to add leafs' shadow on the cook's hat too, that is good; reminding me that there are leafs above him, instead of a clearance
Good job! Keep it up!

that's the goal, yet i do not want to overdo it. there still needs balance to the piece to let the cartoon side pull through

add steps along the way and you have yourself one of these treasure hunter games, I remember we had one when I was a child and the goal was to be the first one to find the red diamond.

i agreed- though i did not want to over do it. I really liked how it is still simple and yet still gives the jungle feel

Haha yes the cook is awesome!! I always love the depth to your pictures with the stuff in the foreground, here the insects and the snake are really cool.

You've done a lot more with the characters' facial expressions this time around. In previous pictures, the teddy bear pirates had somewhat immobile stuffed toy expressions with slight variations to look cute-fierce, etc. This time, we have a full-out grimace on the face of the cook. I laughed at that. I'd like to see more expressive faces on your work (then again, that's what I love about art and animation). Again, this work is rich in loving detail, with plenty to engage the eye, and a good sense of both danger and adventure.

well when you start on your adventure- your toys are your toys, until you really get going and then...... they become truly alive....
