Unterm heutigen Yellowstone Nationalpark schäft ein riesiger Supervulkan. Der eingestürzte Krater ist 55 x 72 km gross. Die bekannten Explosion war ca. 2,1 und 1,3 Millionen vor 640.000 Jahren.

Eventuell, je nachdem wie alt Sie sind, erinnern Sie sich an die Mt. St. Helens Exlosion 1980. Dabei wurden 0,3 km³ Material in die Atmosphäre gepustet. Bei den drei Yellowstone Ausbrüchen waren es 280, 1000 und 2500 km³ Material.

Die Situation im Yellowstonepark ist mir bekannt. Ich bin mir nur nicht mehr sicher ob der Auftraggeber dies als Inspiration verwendet hat.

Uhm, brand-new Laurentid Ice Cap.
During Ice Ages, global sea level drops below -50/-100 meters, while here I see seawaters invading coastlines. More lands rather more waters. Should be fixed someway.

Phenomenon you mean is the isostasy, there's some kind of compensation, but this seems to suggest an Earth with much higher water content even in lowstand phase
