Description this is pretty much the same setup as in my previous screenshot.
only this time i took it a bit farther with the wallpaper.

it all started when i accidentially ran into this screenshot by *Psychopulse

Flower of Sounds by Pascal Ackermann

that's the name of that lady who got me carried away for the next couple of hours then.
the result is that wallpaper you see above.

i really like how she adds so much depth to my desktop.
the background is a modified version of

Concrete Evidence by ~ZombiePoppa

and if you ever wonder about what song she might be listening to
then i wouldn't be surprised if it's

Carried Away by Jamaram

why are you doing this?
you're taking my work, then edit it and release it as your own work?
you're even using my words in your deviation.

i don't like what you did there.
it's not polite to take other people's work and then pretend you made it.
you just don't do it.

i'm disappointed.

well, you said it: my work.
and if it's my work, then why are you releasing it?
that's not ok.

well, i appreciate you admiring my work and i thank you for that.

but, i still don't understand why you don't just use that wallpaper only for yourself then.

why do you have to share it with anybody and why don't you mention in any way that you haven't created that wallpaper?

you say you admire my work and yet you don't tell anybody that i have created that wallpaper.

you might admire my work as you say, but you don't respect me or the fact that it's not right to share something you haven't created.

if it would have been my wish to share that wallpaper, then i would have shared it, don't you think? but i didn't want to. my right to do so.

and you, you just decided to disrespect me in that matter and uploaded that wallpaper.

i'm sorry, but this has nothing to do with admiration.

aww.. i'm sorry, but that backstage pass badge i took from apple's icloud.com website when it was still in beta and i'm afraid that those graphics are no longer online, now that the iCloud has officially launched. and since i haven't created those badge graphics myself i'm also not allowed to share them, without at the same time infringing on someone's copyright.

so sorry, Danielle!

OtisBee In reply to Bayushi-Tai [2011-11-10 09:27:03 +0000 UTC]

yeah, i know that's ridiculously much, but only the result of having almost every group on my watchlist that's in any way related to the subject of Skins & Themes. makes sense when being a CV imo, but i will surely leave a huge amount of these groups once my CV term is over, which will be on Nov. 30th. and then my message center will become a much more quiet place i hope.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Bayushi-Tai In reply to OtisBee [2011-11-10 19:28:44 +0000 UTC]

Also, sometimes we WATCH people that also are in a WATCHed group, so the
same deviation is like 4 or 5 times in some Customization cases.

Remember remember the 30th of november...!! (V) XD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

OtisBee In reply to Bayushi-Tai [2011-11-13 04:31:26 +0000 UTC]

uhm, that's not quite right, i believe.
the same deviation will only appear twice as maximum.
the first time that's in the deviations of the watched deviant and the second time that's in the group that has last accepted to feature it.

i know this because there were deviations showing in my #CD-Art-Display group's stack (that's one i never delete) and then the next day or two, those deviations aren't in that stack anymore but in a different group's.

the only occasion where a deviation shows up in multiple groups' stacks, is when i delete it from one group and then it gets accepted by yet another group, hence it shows up in a new group after that previous deletion.

sounds confusing, but maybe you got the idea.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Bayushi-Tai In reply to OtisBee [2011-11-14 06:11:18 +0000 UTC]

Right, i understand, isn't confusing at all.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

OtisBee In reply to Bayushi-Tai [2011-11-15 12:02:19 +0000 UTC]

well, it took me quite some time to figure it out and i even thought that it's a bug when certain deviations disappeared from a group's stack and then re-appeared in another. i wouldn't be surprised if it'd be confusing for anybody who'd experience this for the first time, without an immediate explanation at hand.

Hahahha, dA still got surprises for you ?!?!?!?

BTW, if you know anything 'bout our muttual friend with Italian name [G] please me.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

OtisBee In reply to Bayushi-Tai [2011-11-27 11:00:55 +0000 UTC]

oh, sure... there are still some undiscovered surprises in here. there are a lot of features i haven't really used or tried until now. like the "channels" or "sta.sh" for example. and i'm sure they provide a lot of potential for being surprised.

well, i've talked to Pino on the phone the other day and he politely asked me to not tell anybody about his real reasons. let me just put it this way: he needs a break. but i'm glad that during our conversation i was able to persuade him to not deactivate his dA account completely, so that when the time is right, he can come back (or not) and then can still decide whether to start new or to take up where he left.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Bayushi-Tai In reply to OtisBee [2011-11-27 17:39:46 +0000 UTC]

Oh yeah, the stash option ! I recently knew about it.

About Pino, i feel better knowing that you talked with him,
i undestand if you can't drop me here the reasons, let just
give him the time that he needs and he'll be back with us.
The "Don't Deactivate" is a great advice, our moods are always
changing and to take a precipitate choice like that is not good.

Well, thanks for answer and for bring me some words 'bout our mutual
friend, even when you didn't tell me his reasons i respect your loyalty
and i know that i could be the one who trust in you to not comment.

I'll cross my fingers until he came back, if he doesn't i'll contact him
through some other site.

Awesome desk, man!---I love the way she's just looking as if she's actually sitting in the orb, hanging out with ya!-----You really have such an amazing style.

OtisBee In reply to Y-N-1-F [2011-10-25 09:26:25 +0000 UTC]

oh yeah, the fact that she was created in such an impeccable way, has made it fairly easy to let her do the job of creating that nice atmosphere you mentioned.

the crucial item for me to add has been the dropshadow underneath her and that orb-chair, which contributes a lot to the effect that she's somewhat hovering in front of that concrete wall, imo. much like a beauty that has been "Carried Away" right onto my desktop.

so great you observed and noticed that. thanks once again for your kindness and support, man!!

I love it!---I think subtlety is the #1 asset to a great artist....that, and concealment.
It's a really cool image

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

OtisBee In reply to Y-N-1-F [2011-11-08 10:33:13 +0000 UTC]

absolutely!

subtlety and concealment.

if viewed in the outcome they don't seem to be that difficult to accomplish at all, and yet many of us struggle so hard to come even close to it.
for some (and i guess that includes me as well) it's done by coincidence without even wanting to achieve that in the first place.

you just do what you do and then you're stunned by the feedback you get back in return.

well, there's a saying that "you can't rush art" and i guess there's something similar for the subtlety and concealment you mentioned. you just can't force them. at least that's what i think at this current artistic stage i'm in. so, that's why i don't even think about them and can consider myself lucky if they "occur" more or less by accident.
