Description okay, it can't be denied that i'm really crazy about this psd file by ~amaeli .
in fact my previous Abandon releases [link] and [link] can be pretty well considered to be some lame and foolish attempts in order to hopefully convince ~amaeli to eventually make a WindowBlinds theme from it.

anyways, ....here's yet another (and probably the last) member of the Abandon CAD2.0 skin family as you might have seen it in my coming up january screenshot already.
please note, that the skin is set (not created) to be 80% opaque, so you'd still have the ability to make it more opaque on brighter backgrounds for example.
if you like the background seen in the preview image above you can download my RooLa Walls here.

granted that you already have CD Art Display 2.0 installed, you can easily apply (install) the skin by doubleclicking the *.cskin file that's included in the zip or by simply dragging n'dropping that file onto a running CD Art Display.

i hope you'll enjoy my abandon slim....
....and please make sure to check out the great works of

so, now that i get a chance for a first hand opinion....
....do you think that german is a language that's actually hard to learn?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

acwazhere In reply to OtisBee [2009-02-21 18:13:13 +0000 UTC]

It's not very hard for me. The only hard part is remembering all the conjugations & articles (der/die/das, etc.), it's easy otherwise.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

OtisBee In reply to acwazhere [2009-02-21 21:43:15 +0000 UTC]

oh yes, i've heard about the der/die/das issue from other people before.
i suppose the different ways of pronouncing the letter combination of "ch" can be really strange as well.

Very nice. I'm happy with your SquareOne skin, though, I'm using that with your SquareOne WP.

Love your stuff, I would be overjoyed to see some new wallpapers.

Du spricht auch Deutsch? XD

OtisBee In reply to acwazhere [2009-01-24 09:35:57 +0000 UTC]

yes, i also speak german.
in fact, i am german.
you speak german as well?

well, i'm pretty sure that there are more wallpapers to come.
although the main focus is on creating new CAD skins i sometimes need a matching background for their preview images.
so it has shown to be a nice idea (not mine initially btw) to not only release a CAD skin but the occasional wallpaper as well.

thank you very very much for your kind words.

Daaaaamn beautiful CAD skin, you sexy-ass German hunk...

If you recall, the last time you submitted an "Abandon" skin, my comment was a "little" longer...

Don't tempt me, dude, you don't know what I'm capable of when it comes to verse...

Then again, I don't know what I'm capable of...

OtisBee In reply to PoulNyrup [2009-01-11 19:37:04 +0000 UTC]

how could i ever forget, Friedolin?

...whether they're long or short (your comments that is of course) i'm always having so much fun when reading you.
so, if at all my way of tempting you would be to create that one very skin that would knock you off your chair completely and see what your reply would be.

...and i have a feeling that the best is yet to come.

thanks for your madness and your fav, dude!

Another great skin for my No.1 application!
Great job on this one, too!

Looking at the graphics and the details, I noticed, you did everything with great care.
The only thing disturbing me a little bit, is the green case overlay.
But i understand you did it because you wanted to prevent, some covers could destroy the overall look of the skin.

Once again: Excellent work!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

OtisBee In reply to barberioX [2009-01-11 16:24:03 +0000 UTC]

thanks yet again, my friend.
i always enjoy your feedback.

yeah well, the green case overlay....
...actually i've been told about this at my Abandon Otis -ThaUpright- already.
you see i have this red-green vision deficiency and i wasn't even aware of the fact that the overlay got some green toning in it.
i only copied the layer style from *amaeli 's psd and applied it on that overlay. that's it.
maybe (just maybe) we can consider this effect as being a tribute to the original artwork of *amaeli .

so here it is, a consequent sequel in your gallery, very nice style...

why don´t you make a WB on your own?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

OtisBee In reply to Leuchtstoff [2009-01-11 15:00:03 +0000 UTC]

thanks, buddy!

well, a WB theme would be very cool, but i think creating it would be so much more work than it already is to create a CAD skin. on the other hand i never gave it a closer look, so i've actually no idea what i'd be dealing with.
one day i'll watch ^mrrste 's video tut and who knows, maybe it isn't all that difficult like i expect it to be.
we'll see.

thanks again for your kind comment.
...and thanks as well for your fav!

vielen dank, alter knabe.

nur das mit den fonts funktioniert nie

OtisBee In reply to matthiasmuth [2009-01-11 14:46:13 +0000 UTC]

danke!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

matthiasmuth In reply to OtisBee [2009-01-11 16:07:54 +0000 UTC]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

OtisBee In reply to matthiasmuth [2009-01-11 16:30:42 +0000 UTC]

hmm....

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

matthiasmuth In reply to OtisBee [2009-01-11 17:44:05 +0000 UTC]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

OtisBee In reply to matthiasmuth [2009-01-11 18:37:20 +0000 UTC]

also...
