What about the Fourth Amendment, a part of the Constitution which the Trump Administration is basically using as toilet paper?

Our "Fore-Fathers" had differing opinions on government and society. One thing to consider from even the act of the constitution is that it was an incredible act of compromise. The "Fore-Fathers" (a term I personally hate for it's ability to wrap all involved together) would not agree with me or you or the other in many of our personal beliefs.

No. You are thinking of the 3/5th compromise that was created to try and please the South to keep the American nation from going to war. Seriously read history.

Tanooki-John In reply to IrkenConfederate [2013-05-26 01:07:13 +0000 UTC]
Let's say for instance, remember the Boston Marathon bombing and the New Orleans, well, they had federalized police barge in and take the guns from civilians (Including the rich ones) which I believe Obama had something to do with it. Now he's trying to federalize as muh states as he can so it can repeat. You should look it up on Infowars and the young trunks.

What do guns have to do with the Boston Bombing? And is it worse that they did it to the rich?

I seen this on an infowars topic video on YT. I seen many of them. There was only a few rich people, mainly former veterans. I forgot which video that was though.

I repeat: Why is it worse when rich people's guns are taken than when a middle class person's gun is taken?
π: 0 β©: 1
Tanooki-John In reply to IrkenConfederate [2013-05-27 13:53:45 +0000 UTC]
I never meant to say that these other rich residents who had their guns taken by federalized police were worse than middle classes. Both situations were bad. Those rich residents in New Orleans were mainly former/retired vets from that gun grabbing video I found from infowars YT channel. It's just as equally bad as the middle class people from there having their guns taken. It's also happening in Texas and and anywhere near it. Not all rich people are bad you know, not like those who work in the gov. who believe the same ordeals as Obama.

IrkenConfederate In reply to Tanooki-John [2013-05-28 02:48:07 +0000 UTC]
What do you mean "believe the same ordeals"? And I have to say that it seems to me that the majority of wealthy persons has the most interest in their own benefit.
I don't believe that giving the rich more money (i.e., cutting their taxes) benefits the less fortunate.

joeisbadass In reply to IrkenConfederate [2013-12-28 14:50:07 +0000 UTC]
You're not giving them money by not taking it away from them anymore. But the government does give the corporations an opportunity to make more money when it bails out said corporations. What I don't get is how wanting to keep your hard-earned money is greedy but wanting to take everyone else's money away and spend it for your own desires is not.

IrkenConfederate In reply to joeisbadass [2013-12-29 04:36:14 +0000 UTC]
Well, you're right: reducing someone's taxes isn't actually giving them money, but it's allowing them to retain more. And if they have income, then their untaxedΒ income increases.
And I do understand wanting to keep your money; it's just that it's not fair for someΒ people to have millions upon millions of dollars, and for others to be out on the streets with barely anything. Everyone should, of course, have the right to be rich. But, currently, taxes only cover your income up to a certain point (I think maybe $150,000?); if you make less than that, as most do,Β you have to give taxes for all your income, but if you make more than that, part of your income isn't affected. Not to mention, taking a higher percentage from the rich wouldn't harm them in the same way it would the middle class and poor--members of the upper class have more of an economic cushion in case of emergency.

joeisbadass In reply to IrkenConfederate [2013-12-29 04:41:53 +0000 UTC]
I understand the liberal perspective of it, but it's important to understand the employers and businesses are the ones providing all the jobs, so while a rich man isn't as affected by taxes as much as a middle class and poor class (who are also beginning to feel the burn), the middle class and poor workers are being severely affected indirectly by all the regulations and taxes because they're preventing the employers from making more money to hire more workers, get more people out of unemployment, and give people higher pays, more vacation time, etc., etc. while still having enough money to provide for themselves. So basically the government subsidies and taxings don't affect the rich guys, but they severely affect the middle and lower working classes, which creates more economic inequality not less
