Description Despite what the Liberals and Left-wing sheep people says, America was and is a Christian Nation. Our Founding Fathers all believed that Jesus Christ is the one person who holds America on His shoulders. That without Him America will fall. If any of you sheep wants to know how God and Jesus Christ play a role in America history then watch "God in America." You'll see that He had a hand in the forming of America to the present day. I don't care if you believe me or not, but believe me when I tell you this. This Country is a land under the Watchful eye of God and His Son Jesus Christ. And like the Jews in the Bible He is in full controll. Like I said I don't care if you believe in me, but one day you'll know that I speak the truth.

I wouldn't deny that their were Christian beliefs woven into the laws that govern us. But there was also freedom to practice which has been interpreted as almost all religious practice and non practice.

In my interpretation our country was founded on other needs and through the power of individuals. I can't fully imagine what it is a believer receives when they pray to a god but I would guess it was better judgment and a conscience. I had an encounter recalled to me yesterday where a woman prayed for guidance in a purchase. I and the story teller was put off at the trivial nature of the prayer but from the point of view of a non believer and a former believer we saw it as one mind considering their potential actions. That is the point of view of a non believer. I live in the United States. I was born here and this country serves be as fairly as I would wish it to serve a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim, a Buddhist, a Scientologist, an Agnostic or Atheist. Unfortunately for some the country and it's laws will change in ways that clash with the beliefs of some or many. I hope we can all get past that because despite everyone's efforts we're all living on the same planet. None of these groups is going anywhere any time soon and the end of the world is not coming in the way imagine it will. Maybe one day one side will be proven right... maybe all sides will be proven partly right and that a middle ground was real the whole time. I would prefer that as if my belief is true then no one will have any time at all to understand what is real and what is not because what is real ends completely.

No, actually most founding fathers were Deists and not true Christians. One nation under god was implemented during the Red Scare in the fifties. The original pledge was written by a Christian socialist and had no mention of god. Learn the facts

Like the entire Middle East, China, India, Japan, and so on.
They've all gone down the third-world shitdrain without Jayzus, evidently.  They're all nothing but savage, misguided, subhuman barbarians who need Christ before they face eternal torture in a fire pit.

Fantastic, really.

I had already seen some of the stuff in your gallery, as you're probably aware by now, but it wasn't until the issue in the back of my head that had been slowly building finally revealed itself. At this point I can assume one of two things: 1) You're a troll with an extremely good deadpan 2) You actually believe what you post.

Well, I'm not Christian, so I don't believe there is an actual correlation between America's success and Jesus or God, but you are right historically that Americans were initially all Christian pretty much and founded American principles based on a Christian ideology. But that doesn't mean you need to be a Christian to believe in such principles.

As an Atheist, I think the Bible, God, Jesus, and Church are nothing more than Bedtime stories people used to tell to each other to explain the world (no offense meant). The U.S. is basically made out of all the Christian people of Europe who didn't like the church there.

Actually the people who came to America wanted to worship God in their own way. The ones who came from England didn't want to belong to the Church of England because it wasn't what they feel was the right way to worship God. So they left for America. Now I'm not sure about the other countries, but most people came to America because they wanted land for their own. Most were the ones who didn't inherited the lands their fathers owned.

If Jesus was alive, he would be a liberal who would support more taxes on the wealthy and welfare programs. Then the Right would denounce him as a socialist.

Please provide Bible verses to support the claim that Jesus was a socialist. And make sure that it matches this definition of socialism:

1: any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
2 a : a system of society or group living in which there is no private property
b : a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state
3 : a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done

He who loves gold will not be justified, and he who pursues money will be led astray by it. Many have come to ruin because of gold, and their destruction has met them face to face. It is a stumbling block to those who are devoted to it, and every fool will be taken captive by it
—(Sir. 31: 5-7)

Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments!...He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn is exalted in honour
—(Ps. 112 (111): 1, 9)

Come now, you rich, weep and howl for the miseries that are coming upon you. Your riches have rotted and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver have rusted, and their rust will be evidence against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have laid up for treasure for the last days. Behond, the wages of the labourers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts. You have lived on the earth in luxury and in pleasure; you have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter
—(Jam. 5:1-6).

Jesus looked at him and loved him. "One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
-(Mark 10:21)

There is a ton of quotes from different parts of the bible with the same theme, not to say Jesus followed any sort of political theory, hell socialism was not even invented back then. Really the whole bible can be seen in different lights depending on the person, it really comes down to what one makes of it I guess.

Peace out.

Attacks greed, not owning property.

That's a commandment to give to the poor. That doesn't necessarily entail socialism. I can be through charity.

Again, an attack on greed.

The point was to show that the rich young man was not sinless, as he valued his possessions more than he did Christ.

At least you admit the ambivalence of these quotes.

Graeystone In reply to Miss-Shiki-Scarlet [2013-02-27 20:18:37 +0000 UTC]

The first verse is about Greed. Being rich or wealthy does not equate being guilty of Greed. Job was a Rich Man during his lifetime yet had very strong Faith in God.

The second verse doesn't not include forced redistribution. Charity is something that is done willingly and without coerce and guilt.

Third verse - That goes for anyone who has coin in their pocket whether its one coin or a million coin.

Fourth verse - The man in question was torn between what he had and trying to follow Jesus. One doesn't have to be rich to be put into that situation. The Apostles were all basically Middle Class scrubs and were given the same choice.

Also Socialism according to Marx himself must be absent of religion including Christianity. Something is hinky when a socialist tries to use something like the Bible as part of their argument.

Also answer me this - Who will see the Kingdom of Heaven? The Greedy Rich Man or the Poor Man who is Jealous of the Rich Man?

None of them according to doctrine, both greed and Envy are deadly sins in there own right, through if you praise good old jesus you get in anyway, even if you're a psycho killer so its all good.

Graeystone In reply to Miss-Shiki-Scarlet [2013-02-28 03:18:09 +0000 UTC]

You got the question right but at the same time you are very wrong. Those who don't Repent get into Heaven. Repent means to 'stop' as in stop lying or stop murdering. So unless a psycho killer actually makes the effort to stop being a psycho killer they won't get into Heaven.
Accepting Jesus gives person a 'Get Out Of Hell Card' but that act never gives anyone a 'Continue To Purposely Sin Card'. That Card just doesn't exist.

pigtailsboy In reply to Graeystone [2014-11-28 03:12:24 +0000 UTC]

It rather makes amusing the concept of confession. The continued usage of a system that forgives all up to that point. Not to mention repentance upon one's deathbed. All that seems to be a valid method of salvation in some circles.

I, on the other hand, believe that there is no god or no god that can be attributed to the beliefs of man. Any sins a person commits that conflict with society should be punished justly from a held perspective that even I, even we, might travel a similar road given the right circumstances. And whether you forgive your self, receive forgiveness from others or an organization when you die you no longer exist. I can see fairness and unfairness in that as the alternative of accepting Christian doctrine as fact and acting upon it doesn't, and their are valid arguments for why.
