I always thought she had interesting features, so I figured I'd give a shot drawing her in Illustrator. I think I went a little overboard on some of the details, but it worked out pretty well I think. This one really pushed the limits of my machine...Illustrator CS5 - 100% Vector

This is the very same image I have been working on... you did not go too far, this is simply beautiful, great job! Your use of layers is great. Your mesh looks like one of mine own. I tip my hat to a true artistic eye! I must tell you too... I just have to find another image to work for her because you are right, she truly is an interesting subject and this render needs no follow up by anyone. Again... great job!
