Description This pair is mostly brass, with just one strand of copper elusively threaded though it.

I've been working on a new finish/treatment for my sticks, and you can see one of the first completed examples here:
The new "Rustic" option.

It's an intentionally battered look with a satin finish that gives the sticks the look of an ancient artifact or a really old and well loved family heirloom without all the rough edges that normally accompany that sort of character.

ALL "Rustic" sticks have been tested in my very fine and snag prone hair to make sure that what makes them unique doesn't make tangles or snags.

At 6" in length, this pair is perfect for any length hair past shoulder length, and is a perfect complement to anything from jeans to your favorite little black dress.

This pair is for sale, $22, + $7 shipping to nearly anywhere.
I accept Paypal and USPS Postal Money Orders.
Note me if you would like to make this unique pair of sticks yours. And yes, if you want a longer or shorter pair, I can make them for you, but no two pairs in this finish will be quite the same.

Looks like I again should put some wire in my hands...

I've got a chain around my neck that looks quite similar to these sticks as far es the surface is concerned. I really like it.
Btw that corm would be worth an extra photograph.

Thanks! This finish is inspired by things like the chain you're wearing - battered, but still strong, beautiful and well loved.

Corm? You mean the chunk of American Myrtle Burl that I use as a photo prop?
If so, I'd be happy to take some shots of it for you.
My mother-in-law brought it back from a trip to Oregon, thinking that I would carve it, but the shape was too nice to cut on and I needed something to prop and drape my jewelry over.

To me it looks like some kind of root tuber. ^^ My father once had one from an old cherry tree in our garden at home and it looked a little bit like this wooden chunk.

And thanks a lot for all the favs! ^^ (I was really shocked when I saw "32 new messages") xD

If you've seen "burl wood" with all of it's curls and pattern in the grain, this is what a burl looks like on the outside.

And when someone comments I often go look at their gallery. Yours was cool, and I fav stuff I like.
