Just finished my 1/20th scale Gabriel 1909 Ford model T dicast kit!
Man these metal kits almost require an engineering degree! Especially with the vague instructions. Like the front spindles for example, they look semetrical where it dsont matter which way they go into the front axel. And for some reason mine werent going in after I filed, and debured them. then I relaized one end is slightly higher, which is supposed to go up.
This kit is from the 70s, and it says "ages 8 and up" and theres all thes sharp edges on the metal before you file everything..times have changed right? lol If this kit came out today, it would be a way higher skill level!

Back to this model, Ive added a few details here and there. The firewall in this kit is metal, so I added some thin balsa wood over it on both sides and stained it. I also made my own steering colum with the 2 levers on it, The column is made from some aluminum tubing, which I flattened some for a correct shape, but just enough for the steering axel to fit inside. The spare and throttle levers are just made from wire, with a drop od super glue at the ends to replicate the rubber grips on them.
The engine for it was pretty detailed as is so I just added plug wires and called it good.

As for the paint, I used Model Master Gaurds Red, and used a sharpie for the black accents on the fenders and body, then I lightly cleared over it to seal everything up.
