i'm in the middle of some pretty rotten artist's block, and i found this piece that had been cookin' for a while, added a (crappy) background, and figured i'd share it.Um, yeah...
quick lil bit of background:
Andy and his mom live in an apartment building owned by his aunt and uncle (discount rates FTW, and all that). This is Andy's uncle Roy. Roy owns a few apartments and duplexes, the maintenance for which has been given over to Gogo (her "job", as it were...more on that some other time, cool?) So Roy's obviously got some good business sense and his perception is kind of lacking everywhere else. He's awkwardly inserted himself into the role of Andy's part-time father, and here fumbles his way into "the talk", exacerbated by the not-so-subtle-impression that he's given some thought about getting into Gogo's trousers. Even if he WERE capable of acting on that, i imagine his game isn't very up to speed, if he's using phrases like "Boobie combat stress" without laughing.
Andy's a boy, so I'm sure he's given considerable thought to the situation he's in with a (older) girl and all the crap that goes with it, as I'm also sure he's totally fine with his uncle dragging it into the light and tripping all over it.
You know i'm not even sure how necessary "the talk" is anymore? It's not like information is a secret these days. Hmm.

I didn't get any talk, just whatever lectures school gave, whatever questions I asked my parents, books aaaaaaand the internet. Usually I came up with questions from what I saw or read about.

I think his uncle needs to learn to read faces better, the way she looks at him is more like how you would look at a favorite pet or food... In her case I would say a little of both.

NOT NOW! Obviously not. The kid can't even be in highschool I don't think. And frankly I find it amazing that everyone is cool with the tension already. No, I mean sometime down the line. Lovers? Good buddies? Gogo being the Kramer to Andy's Seinfeld?

two things about it.... Firstly, that it was pretty much me when it finally sunk in that I was finally married.

That's astonishing. I used to write comedy sketches a while back that would have been perfect for comics. It was called "2001 Dalmations beneath the Sea" and Channel 4 Tv in the UK wanted to put it into production but it just cost too much, 96 different scene changes and it would have cost 9 million pounds to make!!!!
I would have loved to turn it into a comic and even more so with the skill you have. Your work is breathtakingly cool and you have a massive fan.

It was really cool though, so zany, i loved writing it. If you know Douglas Adams " Hitchikers guide to the galaxy" it was like that, not the awful film but the book which is funny and original. If you ever had time to look at some of it, i'd send you it. You would see how easy it would be to turn into a comic as it has a lot of stories within stories. It was irreverent though and might easy offend. It's about a band of misfits who have to go save someone from a wicked witch. Yeah, i know it sounds dreary, but it isn't. I wrote it 30 years ago so it needs updating but i read some the other day and it's still crisp and original despite some writers stealing my ideas when i sent it up to Tv companies. I want to make it into a "live" version today, whee it's all done in realtime which means you have to have somone who beeps out all the swear words. He just happens to be the son of the guy who owns the production company and keeps getting it wrong so all you actually hear a lot of the time is swear words and the normal words get bleeped out.

This is so genius, I was reading and reading and I was just waitin' for that moment she'd pop into the panel somewhere. Then BOOM, right at the end and all she says is one word. "Commando" AAHAH I loved it.
I really love the one with the disney princess outfit and she does her porno face, it was my desktop (that panel) for weeks XD
