Description the result of last year's enamel course. it's a lid for which i have not yet made the suitable box, but i hope i'll have time to do that next year.

i fell in love with enamelling... it can be annoying when colors don't come out the way they should, or if the window enamel just does not stay without cracks (as in this case) and other various things that can go wrong, but then i love the colors and the whole process of carefully preparing, applying and burning the enamel...

sterling silver
opaque and transparent enamel of various colors

do you mean a version photographed under sunlight or a version where there is an enameled sun?

Wow! That is beautiful - I don't understand how it cracked, it looks fabulous to me, but then again, I know next to nothing about things like this.

I can just look at it in awe

thanks so much! ^^ cracking is something that can happen with window enameling when the form it is applied to is somehow disadvantegeous or it is cooled too fast. but it doesn't really disturb me in this one, and it doesn't influence the stability in this case either

Beautiful enamel work, and nice texture on the silver.

thank you. the texture came more or less by accident at first, but then i decided to keep it because i really preferred it to the general polished surface ^^

How sad that it cracked. But it is still quite lovely and deserves a box to go under it!

yep, the cracks not fun, but then it doesn't really change much. it cracked in every burning but it doesn't actually affect its resistance/durability. of course enamel's not something you should go on with a hammer in any case, but it is quite enduring. i hope i can do the box some time next year. i want to add the same small shell's all around it, and maybe also another, smaller window enamel on one side
