The bulkiness in the throat doesn't really suit my taste with tyrannosaurs, but in all other aspects, my opinion doesn't matter. It's still a lovely piece though.

Can I give you a little advice (This is constructive criticism cos your work is great) I would go for thinner lines, atm it feels very outlined which takes away from the depth a bit. I would thin the lines and don't be afraid to go over he lines with some colour here and there, especially in the background (which probably doesn't need outlines. But honestly Im only saying this because your art has great potential. What brush do you use on the splatter effect may I ask?

Sorry for not answering mate, I actually am keen to your advice, problem is, I am terrible with trees and pretty meh at backgrounds.
Btw I used shady Shadafis brush tools for most of the textures.

Very cool Ill check that out . But yer, I was the same with backgrounds, all you have to do is either change the colour of the lines by going to Hugh and Saturation and click colourise in the bottom right corner. Or change the opacity on the line layer (possibly put a blur on it too) just for a few ideas. That way your rex will stand out and your background will feel a lil more in the background But honestly great work

I like how thick and meaty you designed it, it seems very realistic.

Glad you liked it, I was ocasionally concerned he was too fat, but I did remember reading an article about Tyrannosaurids and Endomorphic body types, and figured it might be about right for a healthy Tyrannosaurus.
