Finished illustration, now really starting the year!
Xenoceratops was chosen for a paleoart challenge, along with Pampaphoneus (so, this synapsid should be my next project).
I depicted the animal using one of it's eppocipital bones to scratch it's back, much like modern animals (like goats) do, with their horns. Also, after read that skins impressions of Triceratops (still unpublished) probably shows the presence of quills, I illustrated these structures on Xenoceratops.
It's 100% drawed with mouse, on Photoshop, so there are disproportions and anatomical mistakes. But, anyway, I enjoyed the final result
