The Kikimora is a tiny spirit found in various Slavic regions, and is believed to be the evil counterpart to the Domovoy. Kikimora will often sneak into houses through the keyhole, from there their reign of terror begins. The Kikimora will break dishes, cause messes and shriek loudly in the night to keep occupants of the house awake. When one is feeling particularly devilish, they will inflict nightmares upon the adults or attempt to strangle them. In some instances, the Kikimora has even been known to kidnap children, leading them away with false promises and treats.
