Description
This is my first tutorial, but only part of a big one i'm making. It's going to be a tutorial from start to finish, of a whole manipulation. I need tips with this at the moment, so when it's completely finished, the whole tutorial will be usable by anyone. I'm trying to make it so people with a low experience with photoshop can still do it.Opinions would be great, this part is use of the pen tool and brush tool, dodge and burn tool, and a few others to create nice eyes, cut the background out, coloured lips, and smooth skin.
The photo is from , not the best quality I know, but she had the perfect pose for what I wanted to do.
Remember this is PART ONE! the full thing coming soon.
EDIT: Following tuts up to part 6 are in scraps, though I wont be finishing the tut completely.

There is, they're in my scraps. I've linked you to them all here. It is incomplete at P6 due to running out of time with other things, and I never got a chance to finish it, but you should have a good understanding of all the tools by then to get creative

wonderful tutorial set. it showed a wide variety of tools and their uses and the peice used as an example was very pretty ^.^ i do have one little request though >.> do you think you could possibly upload the set as a bundle, such as in a zip file even just in your scraps folder would be nice. its just alittle more difficult to reference back to 6 different pages x.x

Thank you, i'm currently working on the hair part of the tut at the moment... kinda experimenting at the same time, taught myself more I didn't think of doing.

pretty cool so far... me and the pen tool don't get along all that well, so I've managed to find alternative ways (I suppose that half the time they don't look quite as good, though

Well in the intro i'll have a thing so you can find all the tools.
Some of them you have to click and hold for that little menu that's shown in some of mine. Like the pen tool has about 5 different types in it, but you have to click and hold the pen tool button for the menu to come out... if that makes sence.

i have version 8 i believe, i didn't have a chance to try tought, my computer broke down (the pc), i use it to download my pics cause my camera doesn't work with mac, that's a shame, i can't take anymore pictures

And it may take a bit to get it to perfection... once you perfect the tools, you'll be fine.
