This needs to exist.

This was yet more experimentation and self-challenge for me. I really want to improve my texture skills. I've been avoiding difficult textures and also leaning way too much on ye olde soft round brush, which has its uses but is pretty terrible for creating any kind of interesting texture in your paintings. So for this piece I tackled a bunch of reflective, shiny, and wet surfaces and forced myself to use a hard-edged square brush almost exclusively.

All things considered, I'm pretty happy with the result. It's certainly not perfect, but for a first attempt at a whole bunch of new things at once, I'd say it turned out pretty well -- or at least, it went better than expected

Edit:

I don't normally correct my work after I've posted the final, but I boffed the perspective on her left (our right) eye a little and it was really bugging me. Sorry. Fixed now.

Aaaand a few other minor revisions (tail adjustment mainly). Argh. This is what happens when I try to art while sick >_>
