Long time, no post. No, I haven't given up on art. Or ponies. I've just been busy lately.I started this as a submission for one of @notenoughapples weekly theme posts in the plounge (theme: movement), but I kinda, sorta, slightly missed the deadline by over a month.

Lovely work making AJ practically glow there. Great work with the sunlight-saturated palette in general. And I really like the "glowy" stroke looks you have here. And on top of that, you did some masterful shading here - the poles and AJ's body and hat are all shaded perfectly to show their shape and proportions and volume. Wonderful job, really.

Thank you for your kind words. The "glowy" strokes were just done with a low opacity brush on a normal layer floating above everything else to give a little bit of a bloom effect around the most intense highlights. It was kind of a last minute embellishment, so I'm glad you think worked out alright.

Thanks! Playing with a somewhat less conventional POV was probably my main objective for this piece.
