It's cute! and chubby...I think Vaporeon is like a dolphin really, only it's more adapted then the other, maybe having more genes to make it a faster swimmer. But I love it all the same. You caught its expression well and just made it wonderful all the same

Looks awesome! And don't worry bout that (extra detail) It's vital if you want to make a proper realistic Pokemon. I mean they breed don't they?
Anywyas, that aside, it looks a tad bit fat. But I love it non the less.

I think in reality vaporeon has more of a dolphin or whale skin around it, a very smooth skin. I just don't picture vaporeon with scales and large visible veins. But, people will have a lot of different interpretations and you have a great one, and did a great job expressing it.

Make it skinnier and make it more sleek. Then you will get less hate mail.

Awesome Vaporeon. And you even gave him a sheath, for that, I am very happy! (Wants more anatomically correct Pokemon)

With a less mammalian view of a Vaporeon, would it possibly be something more like a frilled lizard? ... (But that would clash with its habitat, I suppose, since desert-living creatures do not mix with water-dwellers... I dunno.)

This is pretty cool. My only thing is that this vaporeon looks a little chunky... Then I looked at the official art, and noticed that you can't see vaporeon's neck in it. XP I'd have given it more head-body separation - sort of like a fox in a fish's skin rather than a fishy ting with legs, but it's your drawing.
It's still a pretty sweet critter. Not exactly the same thing the real vaporeon had going for it, but cool in its own right.

I adore the fact you focused on making it look as aquatic as possible. I was to say it looks like an amphibian but it has the scales and such that make it fish-like... so it is in some beautiful space inbetween there.
But by far one of the best takes on a vaporeon I have seen.

you seem to be the only one making Vaporeon look like it would FUNCTION properly in an underwater environment

I really like this one. ;D
But I dont agree so much on the fish thing. I think its build, if it was real, would be long and slender, for a more aerodynamic movement in the water. And its fins would probably be able to flatten and extend. As a sort of threatening, attracting, or warning sign? I could be wrong, of course.

Wow! This may be too much of a mutation, but the concept of making it more fish-like is great. Some pokemon are so hard to picture realistically, you did this very well.

Now that is what i call a mutation. Great job.

i shouldve mentioned.. i really like how youve pulled off the main spinal sail. i rather like the ngle and blah to it. it looks thin, but quite rigid if need be. it also gives the body a potential sleeker feeling, but the neck frill and the blubb under the chin counteract and overcome the subtle slimming effect very well.

i find it a tad ironic that you seem to go for a fishy look, yet the creatures still comes with a mammalian sheath.
i like how youve gone off to be really different from the rest of the vap pics ive seen, but it just doesnt quite aggree with me beyond that. sorry. im into morphology.
i wouldnt bother with the 'mature content' thing. animals are naked all the time. and some of the people i know.. o.o
