Description
Concept of sci fi PDW I did time ago for fictional scenario. It is supposed to use battery socketed inside grip, no bullets.I worked in 3ds max, used vray rendering engine and finished it in photoshop.

I know your work is supposed to be futuristic and what not, and I love the work! I mean, it is amazing. I looks the look it walks the walk. And even though I know it is supposed to futuristic the weapon looks too light. It looks as if I were to hold it in my hands the weight of it would throw off my shooting. Anyway, your work, I mean it is seriously the best gun making work I have ever seen. It looks really good. The physique. Where everything is set and where everything is placed. I feel like if I could handle guns really well the weight wouldn't set me off. But since I'm not this is just one thing that calls out to me when I see this. Anyway, keep up the great work!

esta genial todo, pero siento que tiene mucho enfoque (sharpen), nose si se lo habras puesto en pohotoshop, pero hace que le baje la calidad a la imagen dañandole la lineas que se tienden a pixelar con mucho enfoque

Hi. I translated your text. you are right about that effect on the edge. it is not done by photoshop but this one was first model I apply special function of vray render engine. Model is lowpoly and vray's engine has function to soften hard edge. it wasnt set properly so it is visible. this next image Mag is done with same feature and on this is result better.

It is a shame that it won’t shoot bullets/projectiles, because it’s has design characteristics that make sense for projectile based weapon like fairly obvious ejection port and suppressor which both would be unnecessary for example ray or laser based weapon. Regarding to grip angle, which is fantastic and great for recoil control, that makes fully automatic shooting much easier (great feature for pdw) and optic is placed in correct position if gun has recoil, that would be fantastic pcc even today. And for the architecture of the gun and supposed ejection port placement would suggest similar mechanism as AN-94 which would be wicked for pdw as ultra fast 2-round burst would really be game changer for pcc, couple things I would change I would do slightly flared mag/battery well in grip so changing magazines or batteries would be much quicker and easier, and pistol grip’s backstrap I would prefer to be less sharp so it would be more comfortable for human hand, also I suppose the fire selector/ safety is little bit too far back as it would be a little fidgety to use, it would be more ergonomic closer to trigger. Also back up iron sights are useful for LE/military purposes but that’s pretty much nitpicking, cool piece (forgot to add the adjustable light weight stock is brilliant that has some real life counterparts but it’s way too adjustable, 3positions max would be more handy so it would be quicker to deploy in stressful situations )

If I had to nit-pick I would want some padding on the shoulder stock and a grip that was not so vertical, but this really is a solid looking design, even the quasi-suppressor looking transition near the muzzle.

this would work realy well for security teams if it also came with a nonlethal setting. Take a target down and be able to question them later

Actually looks like a very solid weapon. The grip seems chunky enough to be comfortable, the forward grip looks to be in a pretty good location, and I love the flash hider on the scope. Very nice touch.
The only thing I'd add, design-wise, is to maybe add some padding onto the end of the stock; that being said, I have no idea how much recoil an energy based weapon would have, if any. If there was recoil to it tho, that stock would dig into someone's arm pretty quickly, I'd imagine
