Description
Concept of futuristic handgun.Design is based on usual profile but it is not working with standart bullets. There is a battery instead of mag.Β
Worked in 3ds max, used vray rendering engine and finished it in photoshop. Model is highpoly.
So what do you think. Do you like it or not? tnx for comments if any. bye.

Positively gorgeous. Am I correct to assume that the elongated aperture on the forward end is the muzzle, and the smaller circle above it is an integrated flashlight?

now. on to magazines..Β mags make the weapon portable.. if i had the BIG ammo can (power source) it is no longer portable..Β like at the range just plug into the range power shoot all day .Β -- a 300 round 9mm battle pack weighs 9lbs (just ammo) whereas 3 ten round mags loaded are 21oz.. so 30 mags would weigh 13lbs
a couple mod ideals :Β display on back,Β is smart link display,, touch an it shows battery charge ( round count),,, little black button under display, switches from green (tazer ) to red (lethal) ,,Β green lights on front show effective range, if you can see green its in range..Β

yea it is always abut weight therefore they start using that caseless ammo so there is less death weight. And that idea to swith from nonlethal to leathal is also usefull idea. maybe I will do some nonleathal device in the future.Β

.. weight ..Β i beg to differ, ,it's always about the money.. look at the G11 caseless rifle. it met ALL the requirements with flying colors,, but was shelved because of changing times and cost..Β Β they went with the g36 cuz all they had to change out was the rifle,, not the whole infrastructure ..
but yes,, the every dayΒ "carry"Β person, is going carry absolute minimum..Β i carried the battle packs an magazines because i was in desert storm and didn't know when it was going to needed..

ok, I am not going to discuss you about real experiences as I have 0 but I used to work close to engineering and manufacturing/machining . I can say that Germany is absolutly top of the world in this and to manufacture rifle is not big deal at all. Its all about money. Question is why to do that. you right, why to change whole infrastructure behind when there allready are more rifle types using all around the world which are very good and allready in use.
I am not sure but I think german army has big case recently with their rifles in middle east or afganitan as they found out that their rifle heat up/melt down very quick. They use quite a lot of plastic/polymer in construction and when you make full auto with several mags then rifle got bended making it impossible to hit something more far then 100 meters. Which is quite ironic when you realize that germans are really god in constructions and engineering. Sometimes even master hit a finger with a hammer

yes yes i agree..Β the modern firearm is at it's end,,Β even if we make out of the hardest, (wurtzite boron nitride) strongest, (graphene) and best heat sink (carbon nano tubes.) at the end we still have a " slug thrower" ,, thats limited too size , weight, and capacity...
whereas we have " future tech." which goes different directions..Β much like your weapons..Β

yea. you right. somewhere on body should be connector for chargng as well. maybe tesla stantart to be able charging at their stations

I was thinking if they used thigh holsters with spare clips, the holster itself would charge the battery clips while not in use. But the charge is limited, maybe to like 3, so if you run through your two spares, you could charge one more battery before you're out of luck.

could be. or maybe once in the future there wil be one bg battery pack somewhere on the body and through the Β universal cabel you could power any gun so no more magazine anymore...
