Probably the first time I ever draw Dark Eldars -_- Had so such a hard time doing painting for them. But still best comment
I got from them, "Too violent, please tone it down" The Haemonculus was tearing off the poor Cadian face in my original

This piece does make me feel for my poor Guardsmen, but it really grabs that sinister feel of the Haemonculi. A pity about the edit though, especially with previous GW art depicting things like Rippers ripping fleshy chunks out of a Guardsman. I suppose that isn't a front cover that people would see walking past, though!

Well it might be a concern to different country laws. Some countries like where I live in, do not allow decapitation or dismemberments to be shown
on film or on print.
Although the restrictions had lifted quite a bit over the years, once in a while we still see overzealous censors.

Ah, a fair point then. I can't remember if the public has overturned the censorship, but I remember Australia and Germany being very strict on violence in media in some ways.
It's a beautiful bit of artwork despite it. Hopefully GW can get a copy of the more gruesome version for an inside-page art piece in one of the future Codices!

I wouldn't know, as I dropped out of 40K after they announced 7th. It came way to quickly after 6th if you ask me.
