Would've been a easier catch if looked exactly like the old symbol but also a disaster as very few people would've got it and everyone else would wonder why he was wielding a dick-axe.
So excellent job on updating a old piece of Warhammer best left forgotten, like Lustria Pygmies.

Awsome work, it's a shame the same can't be said of the game, which has been dumbed down rule wise.
I watched a game which was Stormcast versus Chaos. The aim was simple, kill the opposing general to win. Both players had huge armies, and after they finished setting up, Stormcast won the toss and went first. He moved his units, then took aim at the enemy general with his bows, and killed the Chaos general. The game was over after five minutes of play, and the Chaos player never git the chance to do anything with his army.
It's now banned at my gaming group.
DO NOT buy the game, it's a waste of money (I can't get rid of my copy).

I may have been a bit over harsh (I'd had a REALLY bad day), but the game was played following the rules, and both players were veterans of thirty+ years of gaming. Other games were played, with more or less the same result. The rules have been dumbed down too much.
We still play Warhammer, just not Age of Sigmar. As far as we are concerned Age of Sigmar never happened, and the Warhammer World survived the End Times. We use the old rules and army books, which we all kept hold of.
My Stormcast models have now all been converted into Custodian Guards and Adeptus Astartes for 40k, with the Chaos models as cultists.

What you're describing is a perfect case of L2P tbh. Hero sniping happens yes. which is why LoS-blocking terrain is recommended both by the rules and all. As well as them being dolts and using the baseline rules (and assassinate sudden death and use it badly to add even more salt to injury) for victory instead of GHB's or the books' scenarios that change victory conditions. What you're describing says more about the players' inability to communicate and think: hey, I'd like to have an interesting game. Because otherwise they'd NEVER pick assassinate or they'd pick the biggest, baddest behemoth on the army which by the way you're making it sound was what happened.

To be honest I've only played two "full games". At some point I might go back to Age of Sigmar, but since this gaming group is the only one I can get to by walking (can't drive due to severe epilepsy) I'm stuck, since the only other nearby group shut down in September.
There is a Games Workshop reachable by train, but it's game evenings start just before the final train home, and I work on the weekends, so I've yet to truly experience Age of Sigmar in the proper environment, which would help me get a better feel for how the game really works.
