Absurdpotato, it's your choice what you play, but you don't need to be abrasive about it.
Remember: MH has years of experience and huge funding. Dauntless does not.

Personally I enjoy Dauntless a lot. Not nearly as much as Monster Hunter mind you, but I have a lot of fun with it nonetheless, and I think it has it's own unique charm and world/atmosphere. But to each his own.

Absolutely loving the marker artwork! I think you did a really good job with this electrifying behemoth and can't wait to see more artwork soon.
Also while you're here, what's your favourite behemoth from dauntless?

What did you use to color this?

I teally think Dauntless has potential to be a good game in the hunting genre. Just hope they diversify the monsters and make it more challenging. Because from what I’ve seen, it’s okay.

I've been playing Dauntless quite a bit lately and I gotta say, I have a lot of fun with it. Yes, they take a big note from MH, but that's not a bad thing at all; and they still manage to present a unique and interesting world.
Honestly, this may just be me, but I find Dauntless MORE challenging at points. I don't think the monsters are altered in health or damage depending on how many slayers are in a hunt, and it definitely leans toward more focus on multiplayer (for one thing, you can only really be downed once in single player) Through the several MH games I've played I've done mostly solo, and it's doable, but going solo in Dauntless is challenging...
As for the monsters themselves (called Behemoths in-universe), there could be a little more diversity. I love the design of this Nayzaga, but it's pretty similar overall to the Quillshot (though the fight is apparently quite different, which is a plus in my book).

Actually, Dauntless's behemoths gain 33% more HP for each extra slayer in a hunt, capping at 200% of their base hp with 4 slayers in a mission.
As for Nayzaga vs Quillshot, the fight is VERY different. The similarities begin and end with their designs and a few very basic moves.

Oh, didn't know that. I guess for a MH-Type game like this I should have presumed that to be the case.
That's one thing I love about Dauntless; even if you're presented with behemoths that very obviously share "skeletons" with each other; their fights end up being very different. I noticed that when encountering Skraev for the first time. The same often applies to MH too, but I think people get dissuaded from Dauntless for seeing many similar Behemoths; which is a shame.

Agreed. People are complaining all over the forums about "reskinned" Behemoths right now - both in the same area with Nayzaga (Pangar and Hellion, Embermane and Stormclaw) and the endgame with Dauntless's own version of MHGen's Deviants: Dire Behemoths, and Heroic versions.
The dire behemoths aren't fully fleshed-out yet but they take the base model of a weaker behemoth, amp up its stats, and add new attacks and such. There's no huge model differences (but they are planned to be visually unique!), which is what's causing the complaints.

I honestly love the Stormclaw's design! Having similar looking behemoths like that also imply a close genetic kinship and I've always like that in designs.
Huh, so they actually plan to give the Dire Behemoths other characteristics besides color? That's dope! Too bad the Thunderdeep Drask isn't in the Beta at the moment.

Well, we don't know if it is or it isn't yet. The behemoths in the Maelstrom have yet to rotate more than once, as I recall...

Yeah. I can't say I know what the full length is, but I remember that Frostback Pangar and some other Dires weren't available.

I think my favorites have to be the behemoths who hold the Radiant and Umbral elements. I just love the idea of a giant, dragonfly and crow-esque Tengu. They both look really cool and I might pick thhe game up someday, if it performs well

Yeah, they're both awesome. Personally, I'm a big fan of the Drask. Hell, I'd say any of the Shock Elemental Behemoths; all designs I just really enjoy.
