Slick and Salamander-like, the Charrog is a Blaze Aether Behemoth that prefers to situate itself in warm, humid regions. Like all other Behemoths, Charrog have Aether Vents located on their body (in this case, 4 of them located above each hip and shoulder) that expel Aether that can't be processed in it's digestive system. However, the Charrog has taken advantage of this adaptation and can utilize these vents like flamethrowers, spitting out streams of fire (à la Gamera
) from each one. In addition, they can also spit large bubbles of magma-like Aether from their mouth and secrete it from pores located on it's dorsal side. Their tails make for excellent catapults for slinging globs of this magma-like substance. They are also adept burrowers. The Charrog and Dauntless belong to Phoenix Labs.

By far my favorite thing about Dauntless and we just got the sexy new appearance for Charrogg armor and weapons, but the new Skarn is catching up quick!! :^)

Thanks dude! I do here and there, but the biggest issue for me, honestly, is that I kinda....get bored while drawing it. I know it would make my stuff POP even more and that it would look awesome in the long run, but I can't help but get impatient while doing it. I definitely have to practice more, especially if Needles and COC are going to be a thing.

Personally, I follow them on Twitter and they usually post updates and patches about the game. I also have an account for Dauntless and am subscribed for their Newsletter; which emails me updates and news about it. They also send out tons of invites here and there to join it for free if you have an account!

TECHNICALLY it's out, but if you wanted to play it now, you would have to buy the founder's pack which is about $40.00 I believe. It will become free-to-play within' a few months, so I'm probably gonna wait until then (and continue to support it with art and buying merch).

I realy like the drask for some reason, just lizardy things in general, but this one... the charrog moves to squishy to be a turtle but damm it looks like one

The Drask is REALLY up there for me. I would say the two are on par in my favorites. Charrog reads Salamander mostly to me, but I can see the turtle-likeness (especially the way it jets out fire like Gamera!).

Lol, I would think of it more like gills filtering out the inedible Aether. I believe the rest of their digestive system is still like that of normal animals, aside from their Aether vents (in most behemoths, they're located on the sides of their neck and/or torso). The fire spouts come from above their shoulders and hips.

Nope, in this case it's from Dauntless; which is an upcoming Free-to-Play game that takes a big page from, and is greatly inspired by Monster Hunter (among other games).

Well that explains the similarities, to me, the best part about Monster Hunters were the roars the monsters let out, they all had their own uniqueness to them and you could recognize each monster from their roar alone

All the Dauntless monsters have unique cries and battle-themes.

Oh absolutely; it's a very underrated aspect of them. There's nothing quite like the echoing shriek of a Rath or the Howl of a Zinogre. I give the developers serious props for designing unique sounds for just about all their monsters (they even manage to make pretty good use of the stock roar they use for Gypceros).
