Megaguirus
Prehistoric Queen

Since 1954 and 1966, Japan had been trying to find new ways to replacing nuclear energy, due to Godzilla's attacks and absorbing radiation. Despite other means of replacing nuclear energy: solar, wind, and water, all attempts could not fill the void. It was in 1996 that Godzilla returned to Japan seeking the new plasma plant in Osaka. Despite all attempts in stopping Godzilla, a group of bazooka armed soldiers met their end. One of them, Major Kiriko Tsujimori, managed to live through and morned for the loss of her superior officer.

Six years had passed since that day of destruction and death, and Japan was recovering slowly. During which, the military had put a new anti-Godzilla plan into play, a satallite that would be able to create and fire a black hole from space to any where on Earth, call the Dimension Tide project, or DT for short. A crew of scientists, lead by Professor Yoshino Yoshizawa and Hajime Kudo, and combat specialists, including Major Tsujimori, worked tiresly on the satellite. During the finall days of completion, a field test was performed on an empty building and worked perfectly. Only one boy saw the event and was asked politely by the Major to keep it a secret, which the boy agreed to.

Later that night, the boy returned to the site again, but was frightened by a large shadowy insect that passed through the temporary wormhole created from the DT's feedback from the test fire. The boy soon found a large translucent egg and headed back home with it. As the time passed, the egg began preducing water-like liquids to the point the boy had no choice but to place it in the sewer, unaware of what was to come next. The egg, revealing to be a mass of eggs, began spliting apart and began growing, due to exposure from the water. Soon, the eggs hatched into prehistoric dragonfly larva called Megaulon that leave the sewer to feed. The beasts continue to feed and flood most of the Shibuya District until they finally begin their metamorphosis process and transform into flying Meganula's. The millitary soon reports about the insects, identifies them, and find that they are heading out to find food and energy.

Meanwhile, the G-Grasper devision had succesfully planted a transmitter bullet onto Godzilla, thanks to the Major. With the DT satallite in place, the time had come to bring Godzilla about to an undisclosed island where they could fire the black hole with no complications. The G-Grasper Griffon fighter jet was used to lure Godzilla to the island and his demise, but before firing, the Meganula swarm appeared out of nowhere and began assulting Godzilla and, using their stingers, aborbing the atomic dinosaurs energy. Once Godzilla had blasted and smashed enough of the Meganula's, the black hole was fired. At first, it appeared that the satallite had done it's job in prisoning Godzilla, only to reveal himself buried under debris from the miss fired black hole.As the remains of the prehistoric swarm flew back home, Godzilla took his leave as well.

Everyone couldn't understand where this Meganula swarm came from, considering Rodan and his ancestors were believed to have devoured and killed every last one. But a theory was tested soon about the TD's wormhole feedback in the beliefe that one Meganula may have crossed between the rift and had come from the distant past to present day. With no other compotition or predators to stand in their way, the Meganula swarm could easily begin populating again, including one other disastrous theory to add to the mayhem.

That night, Kudo and a research team had been scanning the flood waters in the hopes of finding the Meganula swarm. Little did they know that the swarm had already traveled underwater to a massive Meganulon and began feeding the stolen energy from Godzilla into the giant insect, including their own life force. As the last Meganula ended itself for the massive larva, the beast, like her, know dead, swarm, began metamorphosing as well, but not into that of a Meganula, but into something much, much worse. Back at the research camp, the water began stiring until the it finally exploded, with nothing in site of what had caused the comotion, until Kudo and the other looked up to see what had shot out of the water. The queen of the Meganula, Megaguirus. The leather winged monster screeched and began demonstrating her power by shredding buildings apart and shattering windows and walls with her super sonic vibrations. After destroying a good portion of the city, Megaguirus traveled to the waterfront, to continue feeding on more energy. Kudo awoke in the hospital hours after Megaguirus' destruction and was soon caught up to date on everything about the dragonfly queen.

Godzilla soon appeared on the mainland and began fighting the Griffon, but their battle ended the minute Megaguirus retured. With the city know her hunting grounds, she took anyone or anything as an intruder. Godzilla and Megaguirus engaged in a ferocious battle between claws and teeth. Just as the DT was ready to fire a second black hole in the hopes of trapping both monsters, Megaguirus unleashed her super sonic waves around the area, disorientating both Godzilla and any electrical devices, including both the Griffon and the G-Grasper HQ, causing DT to lose control of it's stabilization and begins slow falling out of orbit. What's more, the sonic waves can be felt from farther distances and soon even reach to Monster Island, where the pterosaur Rodan picks up the waves. Rodan's insticts kick in, telling him that an old foe had retruned and that he had to go. After breaking through the Islands defences, Rodan makes a bee-line straight for Japan.

Meanwhile, Godzilla began having difficulting in the battle as he was unable to keep up with Megaguirus' agility and speed and having his energy stolen agian by Megaguirus' giant stinger. After hurling Godzilla under a building, the queen smirked and collapsed the rest of the building on top of the saurian. While screeching in victory, Megaguirus was caught of guard by a bolting red blur that toppled the mammoth insect. While picking herself up, the demonic dragonfly saw who caused the attack, Rodan. The two instictive rivals engage in an epic dog fight high above the battle field. Rodan may have been faster, but Megaguirus' agility is what turned the tide of battle in her favor and soon grounded Rodan. Just as Megaguirus prepares to end the saurian, Godzilla reamerges and shook himself off, ready for round two. Megaguirus turned her attention away from Rodan and onto Godzilla, who then flew towards Godzilla with the Monster King charging right back. Godzilla ducked down at the last second with only a flash of light from the two's colliding spike and claw, until Megaguirus turned around and found that her left claw had been sliced off by Godzilla's spike. Just as she vanished again, Godzilla knew how to anticipate the queen insect this time. Megauirus prepared to strike from behind, but only for Godzilla to coil his tail around the stinger and hurl Megaguirus into the same semi-destroyed building as before. Megaguirus picked herself up again and saw what was happening, Godzilla was using her own speed against her. She lunged agian only to get her stinger stuck in the ground by Godzilla and was met with a body slam from the King. Megaguirus took off again just before Godzilla could finish her off. The two beasts locked eyes across the battle field just as Godzilla charged, only this time, Megaguirus had a surprise for him. Using Godzilla's stolen energy, she hurrled a massive plasma energy blast straight at Godzilla, toppeling Godzilla like a ton of bricks and proceeded to keep him down with repeated flying smacks to the to the head with her tail. During the final attack Godzilla stood up and appeared taking Megaguirus' stinger to the face, only to show that he had caught it in his teeth and bit down ont the stinger, turining it into splinters. Panicking, Megaguirus reeled back only to be met with Godzilla Atomic Ray, enflaming the beast, who was soon destroyed by a second blast. Godzilla roared in victory and proceeded to helping Rodan pick himself up after the battle. Rodan then headed back to Monster Island, but Godzilla stayed to finish up on last thing.

With the DT falling out of orbit fast, Kudo saw that it could still fire, but needed a closer target in order to work. Meanwhile, Godzilla proceeded to destroy a hidden plasma power plant in the city. With G-Grasper still needing a way to kill Godzilla, Kiriko to the Griffon, solo, into the atmosphere to have the ship be the target right on top of Godzilla. Just as the DT exploded from buring up in the atmosphere, it launched it's final black hole. Kirko ejected at the last second, avoiding the black hole and letting it tumble down onto Godzilla. As the skies split again, Godzilla knew what was coming agian, with no way of avoiding the blast, Godzilla unleashed a massive Atomic Ray straight about him, into the black hole that still came barreling down on him. As the two forces met and the smoke cleared, Godzilla had gone missing from site completely. G-Grasper and everyone cheered, believing Godzilla had finally been defeated, or so they thought...

Weeks later, Godzilla erupted from beneath the rubble with the world to witness that he had never left.

Months after the grueling battle of Megaguirus, a search party was constructed to travel beneath the sewers to find if there were any remaining Meganulon or Meganula. Despite all odds, one egg was found beneath the murky waters, believed laid and left behind by Megaguirus. Before securing the egg, the party was ambushed by a group of visor glass wearing thieves who took off with the egg and vanished. This was the second time since the last year that the same sort of thief, only this time thieves, made off with important kaiju findings, but for what reason?
