Mothra
Earth Guardian

In 1961, capitalist Clark Nelson, radiation specialist Dr. Harada, linguist Shin'ichi Chūjō, and stowaway reporter Fukuda went to Infant Island to investigate why a sensationalist entrepreneur, who told he would exploit the islanders, was attacked by them. While on the island the team finds two tiny islanders called the Elias, Moll and Lora. After the " Small Beauties", as Fukuda calls them, explain that they wish their island to be spared from further atomic testing, the team acknowledges them and conceals these events from the public.

Nelson, however, goes back to the island, abducts the girls, and puts them on a show called "Secret Fairies Show" in Tokyo, featuring the girls singing and Nelson profiting from it all,. The girls and the islanders beseech their god Mothra, a giant egg, for help and telepathicly communicate with Fukuda, Hanamura, and Chūjō about their current situation. Unfortunatlly, Nelson can't be convicted of his crimes thanks to the Rolisican Embassy. Mothra breaks from the egg and makes a beeline straight to Japan.

Mothra's arrival did not hault, even with the millitaries best efforts. When Mothra built its cocoon at Tokyo Tower, it was thought killed by a new heat ray weapon. Only for Mothra to have transformed from her larva stage to her imago form. Nelson, no longer protected, flees to Rolisica. Chūjō and the police head to New Kirk City and find Nelson, where is then killed in the shoot out. Chūjō creates a symbol that he saw back at the island at an airport to summon Mothra. Mothra arrives and brings the girls back with a joyfull "sayōnara".

Mothra was summoed back several other times to protect Japan. One including her battle against Godzilla in 1964 when she protected her egg from the king. Mothra was killed by Godzilla, but her two offsping faught Godzilla back and sent him into the ocean in a web incased prison.

Mothra has sinced then been a friend of Godzilla's, but will attack him if the beast begins causing destruction to Japan again. But if Godzilla protects his home, then Mothra will become a tremendous ally to Godzilla and other monsters.
