Full View PleaseOh aren't I creative with the titles today.
I am very happy with how this turned out. I put a lot of effort into the horse. Originally I wasn't going to change it so much, but I got a little carried away. I decided to change the horse from black to chestnut because I thought it would fit the background better that way. That looked a little boring to me so I added the Appy markings. The spots were hard to do, I kept making them look too organized. Lastly I painted the mane and tail, and I love how they came out.
I was going to add text. In fact, I made this whole image with a specific quote in mind, but I just couldn't get it on there nicely. I think it looks great without the text, though.
Feel free to fav and/or comment. Critiques are welcomed if you have something constructive to say. Although I rarely go back and rework finished manips, I always take critiques into consideration for my future work.

i love your colorizing from black to chesnut. its sublime 
the mane is absolutely to die for. the tail a little less so, but they are both..ahh..
and maybe its just me, but the way the sun hits the horse, and the direction of the sun don't seem to match. your shadow is going the wrong way, silly.
the blending on the back feet is great, the front, not so much. for my liking, there should be a bit more hoof showing, on both of them. but the position of the horse is good. off-center. though, i have a feeling you might've done that for the shadow..
overall, i really like this piece. its really lovely.

I made the spots darker on purpose. I based them somewhat off my boy, and his spots are darker than his coat. I get what you're saying about the lighting, though. That stuff always screws me up. Same with the shadow.
Lol, I majorly messed up the feet, which is why the front ones are over covered by grass.

it really does make sense. it's just kind of a pet peeve - the spots i mean. even if they are darker, they still look great, and they aren't uniform. which i'm glad you overcame. lol. lighting is hell, i'm pretty sure. i really don't like having to mess with it, i definitely understand where you are coming from.
if you added a bit more grass it'd make sense, grass is always a wonderful coverup. and honestly, it doesnt really look bad. i had to look to notice it. i love how the horse is off center, i think it would look better there than in the center. and the way he is standing makes sense.
i hope thats coherent, its too late. i cant get over this picture though, i just love it. grawr.

This is a very lovely manipulation. Everything in this image looks very slick and clean, so that the image flows in an organized way. I think the brown of the fur is balanced with the lighting of the background so that it looks glossy. The mane and tail look very good while the markings complete this image as a whole. Good job.

The tail and mane are really beautiful. <3 Luff them. Yay for shadows! ...'Cept it's just goin' in the wrong direction. xp It should be going toward the bottom right corner away from the sun. Other than that, it's great. <3

That's pretty much the general idea of how I changed the horse's colour. I duplicated the layer, adjusted the hue of the top layer to an orangey brown colour, set that layer on colourize and change the opacity to about 80% (whatever looked right). Then I merged the two layers and played with the burn and sponge tools a little.
Lol yeah, someone already pointed out the shadow's direction. Damn things, I either forget them or I mess them up.

I love this though the mane and tail are completely gorgeous. The recoloration was lovelily done. great job on the spots they don't look uniform at all. You know what's really funny I was totally going to use this background when i was searching for a background to use and Elliot picture with, sadly that idea failed :[ no worries I'll get around to it though :]
Critiques: Shadow is the wrong way for the light, but I can see where it might be misleading because the grass seems to almost have a shadow that way... it happens in premade backgrounds. The only other thing that bugged me a bit when looking back was the front feet. I don't know if it would have looked better but maybe having a bit more of the hoof show around the one little plant may have been beneficial, there just seems to not be enought scrub to cover up two whole hooves. nice job on the back ones though :]

Lmao that is funny. Especially when you consider that I kept thinking it was Elliott. Not when I saw the whole body, but when I was zoomed in and all I could see was the Appy butt, I kept forgetting it wasn't him.
You're right about the feet. I did that on purpose because I totally messed them up while I was recolouring the horse. I suppose I could have pasted the original feet back on and worked on them separately, but hiding them seemed easier. And yeah, I messed up that damn shadow. But hey, it's there! I forgot it on my last manip, and you didn't even notice. Tsk tsk. Lol!

I actually didn't set out to make it look like Elliott, but the more I worked on it the more I realized that and then the more I tried. I decided to make him chestnut because I thought it would match the background better. Then I was going to add paint markings but I thought Appy would look better. I based the shape of the spots off Elliott, and then I attempted to add some roan on the shoulder like he has, but after I smudged the horse it kinda became hard to see.
Yeah yeah yeah, I know. I'm very bad. 
Actually there's 5 seasons, with a 6th coming out on August 25th. (Same day as House's newest DVD release. Bones still hasn't been announced unfortunately.) And the 7th season is starting in the fall, and the new spin off, NCIS: LA is starting in the fall too. I doubt that will be as good but you never know so I'll probably still check it out. And don't worry, if it makes you feel better, I still have to buy seasons 1 - 4. I have them on burnt DVD but since it's one of my favourite shows now I want them on actual DVD. The 5th season came out after I was obsessed with it so I coughed up the cash for that one. Oooh, have you seen the episode Dead Man Walking yet, when Ziva falls for a dying man? That's my favourite episode! It sounds very cliche but OMG I love it!

You of course would know... -sigh- (Stupid fox, Bones should be FIRST) NOOOOOOOO!!!! I hate CSI NY and Miami, what makes them thing NCIS:LA will be any better. The won't have the same characters we know and love. No I haven't seen that one yet but I saw one near that one. It's kind of hard to watch sometimes because they skip sround episodes so I have no idea what's acctually happening. But I heard a refernece to that episode in one of the ones I was watching lately.

I love most the Bones characters, but Cam gets to me sometimes. I miss Dr. Goodman. I love the way Ziva says things, too. One of my favourite lines from the show, she and Tony are going to get these pirated DVDs or something. Ziva says something about getting the "pirate's" DVD. Tony tells her that it's "pirated" and she asks what the difference is. So he says that pirated is a bootleg (or something along those lines) and that a pirate is a person, like Captain Jack Sparrow. So then she asks who Jack Sparrow is. Tony says Johnny Depp. So then Ziva says "ah, so Johnny Depp is a pirate?" Tony says "No, he's an actor. How did we get here?" (meaning in the conversation) and she says "we drove."
Bones still could be first. The release date just hasn't been announced, they could still know when it is. Though it probably won't be first. Bones usually isn't released until the fall. I hate that! I usually have to wait until after Christmas to get it because it's released so late. And I know, though I was never really into any of the CSIs, not even the original. I'm not sure, but the new NCIS might have one of the same characters... it's just a theory of mine and I don't want to give anything away because I'm assuming you haven't seen the 6th season finale. But basically, they've said that next season Gibbs' team will be either the same or almost the same, that no one will die, but something shocking will happen. It's just a wild theory I came up with myself, but I wonder if Tony or Ziva will transfer? If one of them does, that will probably be the end of NCIS, but it will be enough to make me watch the new one.

That's a great episode! Basically any Tony/Ziva episode rocks. Have you seen any of the episodes with Kate yet? Tony/Kate episodes were great, too. I loved Kate, so before I even saw a Ziva episode I resented her since I knew she replaced Kate. But then like 2 seconds after Ziva joined the cast I had totally forgotten about Kate.
I know, I know. I'm hoping I'm wrong. If it makes you feel better, I probably am. Those damn NCIS writers are too sneaky for me. On most shows I can usually guess right a good chunk of the time about what's going to happen. But not on NCIS. They make you think something will happen and then at last minute they completely change it! And then you hate them for it but you love them, because it makes for great TV. The very end of the 5th season finale came out of no where for me. I was so mad about it, but they had a really interesting sub plot planned out for the 6th season...

I need to find out what exactly happened to Kate. I saw a Ziva one first and liked her way better than Kate. And I agree with you on the a Cam thing, though she doesn't bug me that much in the fourth season...

All I can say about Kate: Best. Television. Death. EVER!!!!
As sad as I was to see her go, I love the way she went. They were after this terrorist, Ari, who had held Kate, Ducky, and Ducky's first assistant (before Palmer) hostage in the 1st season. In the end of the 2nd season they find out he's back and that he's after Gibbs. Kate had originally been in the secret service and protected the president so she was in charge of protecting him. Everything leads to this huge rooftop sniper attack, and someone aims at Gibbs. Kate sees this and dives in front of him, and gets shot. So she's lying there on the ground and they all run to her. They take off her jacket and you see she's wearing a bulletproof vest. So, they help her up. She starts to say "I though I was a gon-" and then WHAM, Ari snipes her right in the head. It comes out of no where! Like, it's in the very last few seconds of the episode. I knew she was going to die any second and I didn't even see it coming! And then you later learn that Ari is Ziva's half brother. She ends up shooting him to save Gibbs' life, so Ari is dead now.

Whoa. I knew she got shot. Part of the scene was shown on a comercial the part where she is jumping in front of Gibbs. I knew she was FBI connected cause of one of the episodes. I'm not really a big Kate fan though. But that is an amazing tv death, better than the House Suicide. I still love Ziva more. I want to watch all of them though.

I love Ziva more, too, now that Kate's gone. Have you seen any first or second season episodes yet? After you've seen the later ones they seem so weird, almost like a different show. McGee isn't a main character until the 2nd season, and Abby isn't as perky. Plus Kate's there instead of Ziva and the whole tone of the show is different. It's not bad, but I don't rewatch those episodes as much. I like seasons 3+ a lot better.
