'The two didn't exactly like each other. They put up with one another, a mutual dislike, but that's all it was. So when Simon took time to tack the dark stallion up, they both seemed confused as to why it was all happening. With a sleeping mack and saddle bags attached to the back of the strangely comfortable saddle, Simon brought out the stallion into the field towards the track. Both of them would be leaving their loved ones for the journey, and they had been given some time to say goodbye, but neither were looking forward to it. The road would be long to just get to the group meeting, and both would worry, but they were strong, and they would manage. They had to.'
