After his trouble with lunging, the next day Simon decided on a nice, gentle hack out. He'd brought his archery bags with him from Odin's tack set to use, and having shown them to the stripy stallion, and getting an all clear, he gently placed them on Viking's back. He wasn't expecting much of a reaction, but it was quite a nice surprise when the fluffy beast allowed him to fasten them and put his gear in without a fuss, and never even glanced at them all of the time they were out. The same thing couldn't be said for Simon and those damn slippery reins.
