Description The gargantuan baboon of equal mischief and macabre, Troop

Height: 90 meters (fully upright)
Length: 100 meters
Mass: 60,000 tons
Rank: 2

Description:
Troop is a beast of both joy and hatred- playful and murderous. Although he can be vicious and destructive, killing on a whim or for the sheer pleasure, he is also very curious and mischievous, almost carefree at times. Many 'attacks' on other monster seem to be pranks. He often toys with other beasts, tossing trees and stones, or luring them into slicks of mud and water. And he just loves terrifying humans, as well as making a pest of himself. He doesn't rampage as much as he causes trouble, stealing cars and freeing livestock. But he is still a dangerous beast though. With an enormous amount of strength and an attitude to match, he can be a deadly foe when enraged. He's been known to beat enemies into submission, using the rocks and trees once simply pelted as clubs to bludgeon and bloody. He particularly is enraged when mocked for being a primate. The insults 'monkey', 'gorilla', and any such name will have him clawing at anyone throat mercilessly. He appears to have some sort of complex that make him take extreme offense at being viewed as inferior due to his species or kin.

Powers:
-Brute Force: Troop is monstrously strong and knows how to wield his muscle, bashing foes into submission with wild whoops and hollers
-Nails: Troop's nails are long and tough, able to leave nasty scratches or gouge at vulnerable areas
-Fangs: Troop's jaws are armed with long fangs capable of slashing and mauling viciously
-Bone Braces: each of Troop's limbs is armed with two extra bones that jut from the skin and muscle like embedded batons; these 'bone braces' focus the power behind all the baboon's blow onto a single, slender point; effective enough to split flesh, snaps ribs, and damage internal organs
-Bone Pads: solid bone domes are found on Troop's knuckles, kneecaps, and elbows; this organic armor gives the primate's attacks a hard, bone-jarring edge
-Crossbone Tail: two bones form a hard-edged X-shape on the end of Troop's tail, a useful- if unorthodox- clubbing weapon
-Intelligence: Troop is very intelligent, being able to use tactic and take advantage of many situations; he can lay traps, improvise weapons, and hone in on weaknesses

Weakness:
-Even in the middle of battle, Troop can't resist a good prank or keep from laughing at something he finds humorous

Bio:
Troop is another genetic fluke, appearing from the shrub forests if Africa. Traveling through rural communities, the beast didn't exactly go on a rampage, but became a huge nuisance. The giant trickster would topple structures that had just been completed, scare entire crowds, released cattle or pets, and got into many other forms of mischief.

In response, the G.A.K.F. deployed Zelus to take down the primate. Troop did eventually go down, but not without raising hell. The baboon easily outmatched Zelus for most of the 'fight', pelting him with trees or rocks. The silly beast didn't really seem to be trying to hurt the bio-weapon, just toying with him. It was only when he was injected with venom did he get serious. Going berserk, the mighty mammal beat Zelus to the ground. He then passed out himself.

He resided in a more remote place in Africa, unable to bother humans, until he was lured into Giant's Gate Four by cars.

Sensing Anpu, Troop broke free with the rest of his fellow kaiju to confront him. But they were quickly defeated and trapped though, locked away in a huge sand pyramid. When Anpu was defeated and the sands lost his presence, Troop was freed. Although he managed to dodge the G.A.K.F. for a week or so, causing mischief all the while, he was eventually subdued and returned to Giant's Gate Four.

When Ullraldi's frozen legion descended upon Giant's Gate Four, Troop was in the front lines of monsters defending their home. Although it was a battle of self-preservation, the baboon found it hilarious that he could destroy the same ice warriors more than once. He even began specifically targeting certain individuals among their numbers. Although he took some serious damage, he retained his cheeky attitude all the while, his confidence only increasing when Banshee arrived to help.

Background Information: I'm digin' this new look for New World's resident primate. It was greatly inspired by Captain Gutt from Ice Age: Continental Drift- particular the hat-shaped crest (but now a jester hate instead of a tricorne!)and 'cloak' of fur on the back. A bit of Rise of the Planets of the Apes went into him as well, with his 'ape inferiority' complex.

Baboon Troop. Good play on words, and far as I know, no Baboon Kaiju exist.

That's nice to know.

I was originally gonna try to use a variation of Papio, the genus that baboons belong to, but that didn't work out to well...
