Hey all, I used the dimentional travel mechine in my basement to go Vort 9. While I was there I managed to make a scan of one of Owen's new missile ideas. Keep in mind this is a very early draft.

The GES-1, if you dont understand exactly how it is supposed to work let me explain. In many ways it is like a giant shotgun shell. During a battle, onboard computers can program this missile to many different configurations. Once fired a sensor on the nose of the missile tracks the distance of the target, from what I can tell this missle is not homing in anyway. Once it reaches a cirtain distance from the target (configurable - greater distance makes for wider spread) the eight smaller missiles detach and launch. All of those smaller missiles spead out in almost random directions striking the enemy ship's hull.

Owen hasnt decided, it looks, if the large missile will actually hit the target or just deliver the smller ones. ANYWAY, the smaller missiles have special nose cones that allow them to easily cut through a ship's hull. Once inside (after a configurable time) the missiles detonate with a rather large explosion. This not only sends shrapnel from the rocked casings everywhere, but also sends the 400 small medal pellets in all directions.

The aim of this? Penetrate into the decks of the ships and cause major casualties. Even if they dont make it deep enough to get into an openspace, the explosion will damage any sensitve equipment housed in the walls.

Owen, has made a pledge to herself never to see her works in action, she doesnt like that her creations kill, but it's her job.
