First off, go check out the actual owner of the XEN concept here (andalar.deviantart.com/ ) because he runs two great comics that you should check out. He asked if I would help him out with concept work for creating vehicles, weapons, technology concepts, possibly other races, planets, or other background stuff. I don't have extra information aside from whats been published so I am going to shoot in the dark and see what hits. I actually like it this way because in a sense there is a no limits but it still feels grounded. Its a challenge, and I enjoy it so hopefully it will keep me around here instead of steam or league of legends. Well its been a while, but I am going to try and get back on track with things. This is a Viper orbital space fighter. The sweet sweet lovechild of a missile silo, magnetic acceleration, rocket propulsion, and sexy fighter aircraft. So the holy grail of aircraft design is an aircraft that can achieve orbital flight under its own power. While I wouldn't necessarily say that the Viper can leave under its own power it definitely can leave terra firma. The viper can be used in and out of atmosphere. All it takes to get out of atmosphere is being launched out of a magnetic acceleration cannon then using its disposable rockets to take it the rest of the way out where it then jetisons the rocket tubes and flies under its own power. The weapons are stored in the ship until it leaves atmosphere. The bottom sketch is really really rough so its best to just ignore it. I really like the idea of launching things out of a giant silo. It sounds like it would be a metric shit ton of fun to ride in.
