Well I figured people would like a picture of 'Spittle compared to Irken' size comparison after so many people disliked my huge Spittle runner idea here:[link]
So this is a new picture using the size depicted in my "Inside a Spittle Runner" diagram. I think this picture was mostly inspired by Crysis. Towards the end you're on an aircraft carrier. There you can watch the jets land and take off, watch the guys run up to do a quick inspection and the dude with the light sticks wave it off. So I guess this is my Irken depiction of that.
Again, nothing new done, this is another thing I've had laying around for weeks 9.9.. but I AM getting better I think.

just say the larger version of the spittle is a heavy fighter/bomber class and this one is the single seater fighter.
and the irken crews are pretty fast! as soon as it lands the crew already have a fuel line attached!

The engine is just idling, everyone keeps giving me a hard time with the fire. Its the same as a jet, they have flames shooting out even when they're idling.

Ahh, this is one of the smaller models eh? The hangar seems a little empty for a.... hangar, I guess Spittle don't require that much maintenance.

That my friend is mostly because of my laziness. I'm pretty much throwing out the idea of the huge ones.. Sad I know.

You know, I always liked your version of the spittle runner. It's just so detailed. I especially like the details on the guns. In fact I kinda use parts of your design in my comics. Nice touch adding that guy in the foreground. It adds some realism into the picture.
It would be really funny if that Spittle Runner flew off on them during maintainace. XD

Yay! More irken tech! Seriously, your work in this area is always very interesting and detailed. Of course, this picture makes me wonder what ship is built for launching Spittle Runners - some kind of unseen irken space carrier?
On a side note, why is the engine going like full throttle if the ship is supposed to be docked or in some type of hanger? Most pilots I know can't get away with that in propeller craft - tends to make the maintenance guys a little upset. Or is it about to launched, now that I notice Mr. Lightsticks down there?

I liked the larger Spittle Runner idea, more of a transport/assault craft for dropping troops and supplies off in hotzones, but I digress. I'm a military buff, so either way, I love this kind of stuff.
This looks awesome without a doubt, refueling and what not going on, the signal guy in the foreground. It all looks logical and makes sense, about ready to send this Spittle Runner back on mission.

Neat. The rocket flares from the jets while it's in the hangar are a little much, though.

It just seems like they wouldn't be flared up like that in a hangar when there's still a crew right next to and still working on the machine. I might be wrong, but...
