Description Basic Story:
Billy gets fed up with always being considered a child by the other pirates, so he leaves to Jolly Rodger to endure his " First Spiritual Journey" to prove that he is a man. More details can be found here: [link]

this was an alternate version i did of PP_Finding My Roots, but was unsure whether or not to post it.

I figured, there was no way they'd let Billy get a real tattoo in the show, but how could they stay true to the tattoo-covered Bill Jukes from the book? Answer? HENNA TATTOOS!

Check it:
While he's on his own, Billy stumbles upon some plants that his mother had taught him about and manages to make a type of henna paste. He then draws abuncha symbols on himself, hoping to look like the warriors in his mother's stories. The paste was made from Neverland plants, though, so the stains last much longer then normal henna tattoos(which last up to 6 weeks.)

Most of the symbols are actually Atlantean:
+"flowers" on shoulders - Demolitionist/Flamemaster
+ boxes on chest/knees - Mechanic/"Repairer" (One fixes machines and/or the other political problems)
+ star on stomach - the symbols of a dedicated explorer whose wit can get others through tough scrapes
+ 2 dips & 1 dot on right cheek - these marks are given for through determination, bravery, and a sharpness of the mind

the other symbols really have no meaning, as I just tried to make them look like bones

thanx, I'm glad you approve. I wonder what the lost boys would think if they saw him? They have no idea that he "jumped ship," and find Billy dancing around a fire with a bunch of tattoos all over him! *LOL*

Lol, Peter probably COULDNT STAND THE IDEA of not knowing what's going on and strange things happening in Neverland without him being involved - he would probably try messing up the whole ceremony >_>

man, I can just see that episode right now:
Hook spots Billy's campfire from the ship, and sends a sends a land-team (including Mullins) to investigate w/him. At the same time, Peter finds it and checks it out.

Peter then starts to annoy Billy and tease him about his tattoos, and that he looks like and idiot. Infuriated that the whelp would disrespect such sacred things, He blows his top... RIGHT AS HOOK AND THE OTHERS ARRIVE! They're all standing in shock as Billy successfully manages to pin Pan down w/a knife to his throat, screaming at him that these symbols are the markings of a warrior in his homeland, and that he would slit his throat like a proper warrior would as well.

"Good work, Mr. Jukes," Mr. Hook congratulates his cabin boy for catching Pan single handed, but startles Billy, since he had no idea that Hook was there, which causes him to release his hold on Peter, and the brat gets away! Now Hook's not so happy anymore!

I'll try if I ever find the time.

With my work -2 jobs and possibly a third-, college and all my other unfinished fanworks -not to mention preparing for state fair exhibits and babysitting for my church- I don't really have much spare time.

But if I ever get things sorted/finished, then I definately will. I would love to add a PP&tP fic to my collection

Wow, I wish I had time to do a scene like that, especially Jukes threatening to slit Peter’s throat, hehe . I hope Hook won’t be too harsh on Jukes afterwards .

tell me about it! He'll probably just give Billy two months extra duty and half a dozen w/the cat for not coming and asking for permission.

Hook may be the most feared pirate, but even he knows how important one's family and heritage is. I mean, if he'll let Starkey pretend to be Captain for his mother, I think Hook would let Billy have some time off to participate in a highly respected religious/cultural tradition that signified the coming of age.

Poor Billy! (but the more cuter he becomes, hmm? )

Yea, I was really surprised at Hook's reaction on Starkey's whole mother-thing, but it sure shows he respects matters of family and heritage.
