Description After my visit to the Giant's Ring a few days ago, while I found some interesting skies, the light was too flat. I went back to try and get the picture I wanted, as the sun set on a Friday evening.

I'm quite pleased with the result, as the warm sunlight brings out much better the form in the rocks.

The Giant's Ring in Belfast, Northern Ireland is an ancient henge. Situated near Shaw's Bridge, the standing stone monument is surrounded by a circular earth bank, 200 metres in diameter and 4 metres high.

(Reworked - 9 August. The colours are now slightly muted, but I think more realistic.)

Superb perspective, great colour. As per a lot of your other photos, your work has a very calming, natural feel to it.
