Description Sarsen Stones are boulders left behind from glacial activity many geological years ago.

This is the first time I have trekked the long walk to this area. I was lucky to have had the sun come out momentarily, lighting up the stones and even luckier that the sun was setting through a valley behind me otherwise it would already have been too late for any sunlight to fall here.

yeah it was vice versa here. nice then came over overcast towards sunset again.

ah yeah i've been that way looking round once or twice. Got places bookmarked and never did get back there. Theres silbury hill up that way and avebury stone cirlces and devils den etc.

I shot Avebury once, years ago. Found it tough, not much there compositionally but might feel differently now. Silbury is literally just up the road from here, as far as I can see it's a one shot wonder really all relying on conditions but mist would be good. Don't know Devils Den, it's an interesting part of the country.....
