Description The Giant's Ring in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is an ancient site centred around a neolithic henge.

Situated near Shaw's Bridge, south of the city, the standing stone monument is surrounded by a circular earth bank, 200 metres in diameter and 4 metres high. It is an Area of Significant Archaeological Interest.

This view of the henge was taken on a fine November afternoon. What I like about the Giant's Ring is that there is a different view from many angles. In this case, a tree is in the background.

As with this scene , I found the cloud formations in the sky very interesting, I concentrated on them in this composition.

(Reworked from scratch - 7 July.)
