Here is my commission for ! She wanted a picture of Thingol and Melian after the establishment of Doriath, so I tried to capture a quiet moment between them.

This was a lot of fun to make, and Lady-woods was a pleasure to work with. These two are probably characters I wouldn't have thought to draw, so it was nice to get my head turning over how I wanted to approach them. I suppose it was like the chance to come at something fresh, and I'm not always apt to doing that unless prodded.

Melian's name means 'beloved' isn't that clever?
