Description Point of this being to show the gambeson actually being worn, and also where the tassets are meant to protect. The splint vambraces and chestplate are there because I had not yet taken them off after sparring. Worst of all, I AM wearing jogging trousers in the picture...

To clarify, this is not based off anything historical, and it is not as long as it looks, I can raise my knees almost to my chest.

The steel cuirass over the gambeson looks really nice, aesthetically .

The Gambison looks really good, but can i make a suggestion to shorten the breastplate a bit? In order for you to get the best movement and coverage it should stop no lower than the navel, no higher than the floating ribs. to cover lower on the front you should add faulds to about a 1 inch lip at the bottom edge of the breastplate like pictured here....  talbotsfineaccessories.com/boo…
here is a wonderful tutorial on a fantastic channel that could help you grow as a smith www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGhfH3…

Thanks for the compliment and suggestions!
I had actually been planning to add lames in on a completely new chestplate but a lot of people have suggested I do it to this chestplate, so that's probably what I'll do. Also the link to the chestplate image showed some nice, simple-looking lames so I will probably try that.

Yeah, the archive is helpful although mainly just for inspiration in my case.

Thanks!!! I'm quite happy with how it came out. I just need to roll/flare the chestplate edges to stop them from tearing the gambeson

Yeah Sharp edges in any armor is discomforting but its an easy fix
