Description Finally finished!
I made the left hand side one today, much faster than the other one because I already knew how to make it..
Also, I call these spaulders because as far as I know, spaulders just protect your shoulder and upper arm, while pauldrons also cover the armpit...

Also also, any comments on the layout of the image? Personally I find it more aesthetically pleasing with the black background and smaller images.

Nice job. They look a lot more sturdy than usual larp armour I've seen here on DA.

I have also tried using the leather rivets on steel armour straps, but I've found they are too weak in the long run, even if they look very good.
I can really recommend solid rivets with a large washer if you want the spaulders to hold forever.

Thank you for the compliment
I've been looking into solid rivets, though part of the thing with the leather rivets is that they themselves will pop apart to be replaced, while solid rivets seem like they would rip through the leather before popping open. Still, thanks for the advice, and I'll definitely look into solid rivets again, as you know what you're talking about judging by the stuff in your gallery

Yep, you are absolutely right that solid rivets do not ever need replacing, because they do not open.
As long as you use washers(round metal plates with holes) between the leather and the rivet(which spreads the load over a larger leather surface), the only thing that can happen is the leather breaking by overloading it.

Thanks! ^^

I don't even know why I said "popping open" about the solid rivets, because I know full well that they are "solid" and so will not "pop" open . Anyway, thanks again

Damn these look crazy good. How comfortable are they, like, would you be fine with wearing them the whole day or do they pinch in spots or something?

Thank you! They are not especially comfortable, and I imagine will be tighter under the gambeson, but they don't really pinch or rub anywere... I probably could wear them the whole day though, I would say they are the most comfortable non vambrace pieces I have made so far.

Damn that's pretty awesome. I think it will look even better with the gambeson on , the lighter leather with the dark gambeson and armor would look pretty damn epic I think.
